Sea Forest engaged Groom Kennedy to act on a major commercial property acquisition in Tasmania. The team led by Tim Cannon coordinated the entire process from helping to negotiate price and terms, regulatory approvals, stamp duty exemptions and in every way did an excellent job. Prior to that Tim Cannon and the Groom Kenedy Team represented Sea Forest in obtaining both 30 year land and marine farm leases, securing long term unique assets on commercial terms and ensuring support from all stake holders. The Groom Kennedy team, led by John Wilson, did an outstanding job managing two significant and complex M&A transactions, including a carve out of a software business to a US SaaS company, and a change of control transaction for a health data analytics business to Wesfarmers Health, including a spin out of the European operations to shareholders.
