Always my go-to when in Town. And today it's nice to see they have done a nice little Reno. To update and give a bit more room. As always coffee good. Food good . I had the Chef Breakfast. Which isn't too heavy despite having egg. Hash brown. Bacon and a meat patte.
Grindz is a nice large cafe with plenty of choices on where to sit. There is a nice atmosphere and staff are super friendly even in the busier moments. The menu had a large range of options as well as a full cabinet to choose from. The French toast was beautifully presented and the candy floss is a nice touch, the picture will not do it justice, unfortunately. As a newer local, I cannot wait to come back and eat here.
Absolutely loved everything about this cafe, food was awesome staff were amazing made the trip away from Auckland even better highly recommend.
The coffee was really good! The entire vibe of the place is also very nice with a lot of space. The only thing I didn't like was my food. I got a savoury bacon muffin from the cabinet and it was a bit dry and didn't have such a good flavour. Some of the other girls I went with ordered from the menu, and they were very happy with their food! Overall a very nice cafe
Great coffee, food ok, breakfast looked lovely, but looks a but dinghy now. Lovely service.
Used to eat here a lot, first time back for a while. I wonder if it's changed hands as the food certainly wasn't great like it used to be. Croissant was heated in the microwave which made it soft and chewy. Instead of a nice chutney on the side we got tomato sauce..and a dry salad. Sorry not impressed.
AMAZING SERVICE. Good coffee. Nice food. I was here breifly whilst getting my tyres replaced at the nearby garage. The girl behind the counter sorry I didn’t see your name must of been the nicest, most well mannered person I’ve come across in a cafe. Helping the elderly get up the stairs picking up their dropped walking sticks and just being super kind to every customer that came through and with the rest of the staff their. They all seemed to get along really good. The lady that made the coffee was great bringing it to the table and asking me how I was getting on. The food was good but I do prefer my bacon crispier I should have asked Lovely place thanks
At last a decent cafe in Tauranga- the Quiche was yummy, chicken panini was good, bacon and egg croissant was average but desert treats were extra good. Even better was the friendly girl who went out of her way to help us even while trying to close the cafe. Put this place on your list of safe bets if you're visiting Tauranga
TERRIBLE!! Went here for a quick bite and 100% regret it. We grabbed the fritatta and Passionfruit cheesecake from the cabinet. The fritatta had a 1cm thick layer of rubber on the top, with raw and eggy inside; not edible. The cheesecake was flavourless but at least edible. I would not recommend this cafe to anyone.
Delicious food, very friendly staff, a great separate room that we were able to hold our private gathering.Food: 5/5
