I had an amazing experience with Greyhound AustraliannOn Friday, I accidentally left my sunglasses on the bus from Airlie Beach to Townsville. I thought they were gone forever, but I decided to call the company just in case. That’s when I spoke to Diana, who was incredibly kind and helpful.nnShe contacted the Townsville team immediately, found out the bus was still there, and came up with a brilliant idea: instead of me paying over $80 for an Uber to collect them the office is 30 km away, she arranged for the driver of my next trip — Townsville to Cairns, two days later — to bring them to me.nnAnd it worked perfectly! Two days later, the driver handed me an envelope with my sunglasses inside.nnHuge thanks to Diana for going above and beyond — not only did she save my sunglasses, but she also saved me a lot of time and money. Excellent customer service!
This was my first and last experience with Greyhound Australia. As we were waiting to board the bus from Arlie Beach to Cairns, the driver notified the passengers that the bus could only get us halfway there because of road closures. I completely understand that mother nature always rules but the bus company made no effort to connect with us by email, text or phone about the road closure. Apparently, the road had been closed for days so Greyhound knew about the closure. I now have a travel voucher not a refund that I will never use because I will not step onto another Greyhound bus.
The bus stop itself is excellent, with good shelter from the elements, plenty of seating, clean toilets, indoor cafe, cheap luggage storage. Even if the bus is late to arrive, it generally leaves on time.
Booked the 8 am Townsville to Cairns.nCalled before to ask if they waited the 7:45 Ferry and said yes.nArrived to the ferry terminal and the grayhound left.
Enjoying the scenery around towns while traveling Thankyou for your service.
