Attending early in the night, 10pm. Appealing fit out of comfortable and sizable booths. Pocketed DJ console placed at the far end was appealing. However getting to it means to walk across a very sticky floor. A very good attempt to create the right sound, music choice was fine. Missing a base bin somewhere so to compensate for the uncushoned dance area. Plenty to see in the back of the high set bar, wondering if I was there later in the evening, it would be great to see the bar top turned to a stage & people would be treated to a live saxophone act.
Reigned as the place for Motown, funk and soul with a New York esque feel this venue was none of the above. Strobe lights upon entry and a screen depicting 80’s and 90’s pop music videos the booths were comfy but that’s about the sum of it. Why sit in a booth when you can’t even hear the people around you? This venue was disappointing to say the least with its euro trash house music a far cry from anything even vaguely resembling soul, funk or disco. Will never visit this establishment again. Suggest they actually update all online media and their website so as to attract the type of audience who enjoys pointless, repetitive and unoriginal doof doof music.
I was really disappointed by the aggressive behaviour of the bouncer last saturday night. I was waiting patiently in line with my friends having a conversation between ourselves when he decided to single me out on my opinion on the discussion we were having. I simply said i disagreed with his comment and tried to continue my conversation with my friends. However he then continued to talk overtop of me saying again that i was wrong. I disagreed again trying to ignore his glare and continue waiting until it was my turn to show my ID. When i went to approach the door, he then aggressively leaned towards me and said 'there goes your '2 for 1' deal and ripped up my ticket for the 2 for 1 drinks deal he had been giving everyone else in line. I was totally taken aback as i had done nothing wrong other than defend my opinion in a conversation i was having with a friend and was not welcome in. Since when can i be treated so wrongly by standing my ground on my opinion i had on something that had nothing to do with this man? To me it just felt like he was having a power trip amd looking to pick a fight. By this point i no longer wanted to enter the venue, why would i want to go into a place with such negative vibes?? When i told him i no longer wanted to enter the venue and that he was being a dick this was the first time i said something out of place he then called up the next bar we were going to and told them not to let me in. Not my friends... just me. Why should i be discriminated against because of my opinion?
Horrendous music on sat night, cant believe the "DJ" actually being paid, it was just a non stopping loop of doof doof build up and drop, LITERALLY IT WAS ALL IT IS! Cheesy fog machine and flashing light, even saw a person smoking right in the middle standing area with no security or staff even noticed, should've put warning sign at front door for people with asthma with that much smoke, would not return ever again
Best staff members you could ever have. Friendly and down to earth. Walked in here with a mate just out of the spur of the moment at 3am. Never have been made to feel more welcome by any venue. Will be back soon!
Promise of $7 drinks pulled us in! Watered down vodka and over priced beer ripped us out! No specials, terrible unfriendly atmosphere.
Great bar! Plenty of dancing space. Plenty of comfy booths. Fun drinks. Average Melbourne drink prices.
Watched Bachelor Girl. Very friendly bar staff. Comfortable seating. Nice lighting.
We saw two chicks face eating and that was pretty cool Nothing Compares to the length of dereks legs
Was welcomed with a free jug of beer, music is decent enough with cheap drinks for a great night.
