Firstly, someone picked up and just hung up on me before I even got a chance to say hello. Second time I called, I just asked about getting a regular STI test I'm not from NZ and I asked how much it would be. Was quoted $160 The Doctors, another practice in Motueka told me $85 for them. Due to this, I was put on hold no problem, happy to wait for the right answer. Then I was told that the receptionist asked 5 different people and received 5 different answers incredibly disorganised... I know it's not your every day query, but regular sexual health check-ups are pretty standard internationally, whether you're a tourist or a local, so I'm pretty shocked by that. Surely there was a supervisor or a doctor to check with? I would've been happy to hold longer, as long as the correct answer was found. Will definitely be going to The Doctors who gave me clear pricing and instructions.
I made an appointment with Dr Glenn Anderson to get a second opinion on a chronic cough which I've had for over 20 years. He was very thorough in his questioning and use of tests. After just 2 appointments I have a much clearer idea of what the problem is and how to treat it.
This practice understood I was suffering from Long Covid/Pots from covid infection in July 2020 in Melbourne Victoria.nThe knew I was returning to New Zealand after trying to get hotel quarantine since October 2021.nI saw one Dr once a month ago and told them about my PTSD from being in self isolation for almost six weeks they were aware on mental health issues and long covid yet DID NOT organise a referral to a phychologist.nI saw Reene the socail worker once a month ago, I told her I had no income and that the PTSD was no good .I said I needed help.nShe stated in her own words that her girlfriend had recently tried to get financial support yet said that if anyone with mental health issues would absolutely struggle to get government financial support.nYet I was just expected to leave and although they were aware of my mental health issues they did not help to organise this.nThey said they would talk to a colleague about it but never followed up a month later.nI had previously been on Medical CBD oil in Australia to help but it wasn't available here there for it was suggested by Rennenthe socail worker that maybe somewhere like Marahau jmaybe some where I could maybe find illegal cannibus to purchase.nAll in all this clinic understood my situation months before arriving back in NZ , they knew I needed support yet nothing was done for a phychologist or anything.
Travelling through the region and Had already consulted a practitioner in Nelson a few days prior. I saw Tina Murphy and was super impressed with her and how thorough she was. Really went out of her way to plan next steps to suit my travel plans. If I lived in Möt, Tina would be my pick of medical practitioners. Thanks Tina.
Have been with this practice for 8 years and can thoroughly recommend it . My Dr is very good, professional, friendly and genuine . All admin staff are helpful and courteous , definitely five stars
