greenelement Hairdressing is situated in the heart of Port Melbourne at the beach end of Bay Street.
We stock the complete AVEDA product range – hair care, make-up, skin and body care which are up to 97% naturally derived from plant and flower essences. We also stock and like to work with Pureology Hair Care, 100% vegan, 100% organic, paraben and sulphate free styling products, shampoos and conditioners.
We use Inoa hair colours which are odourless and ammonia free and our colourists enjoy using 100% post consumer recycled foils.
Let us look after you while you enjoy a relaxing Aveda Sensory Journey and your choice of herbal tea, coffee, water or sparkling wine whilst we look after you and your hair.

DO NOT go to this salon for blondes- particularly balayage or ombré! I saw the top hair colourist at this hair Salon early January 2018 for a hair cut and colour- I already had blonde ombré but needed it brought up a bit highler as my hair had grown. The wrong toner was used so my whole head went grey! I came back a few days later to have it “fixed” and it had very visible stripes at the root and my whole head was ORANGE! I was so devastated but they tried one last time to fix it and my whole head went a bright yellow blonde. I looked like Eminem colored my hair while high in a trailer park in the 90’s! I had to purchase dark brown box-dye from Coles to fix it and am so upset. My hair is fried and I’ve lost my blonde hair that I took over a year to achieve. DO NOT go to this salon for blonde hair!!! I should have just bitten the bullet and paid another $400 elsewhere to have it fixed. DO NOT GO HERE! I have photos if this review is ever disputed.

I've tried so many hair dressers in Port and Finally one I will definitely come back too.. I had a men's cut today by Maddie. I booked online and swiftly called them after to confirm my booking, and they had received it in minutes and got me in on the same day.. They even gave me a first time discount which I forgot to even mention as I was leaving. Talk about looking after you. I'll be back!
