I normally am a massive fan of Blow Dry Bar and have used multiple salons throughout Brisbane and Melbourne and have always been very happy with the service. Unfortunately my experience recently at Port Melbourne was absolutely atrocious and I'm guessing not generally a reflection of the salon as it seems to rate quite well otherwise. The lady looking after my hair was incredibly rough and also unprofessional. From the get go she wasn't listening to me when I was explaining what I'd like done to my hair and instead was watching her reflection in the mirror, fixing up her own hair and playing with it. It was evident she wasn't listening properly as I finished tlaking and she "repeated" back to me what I'd said and it was completely wrong and I had to correct her. I also specifically booked in for a particular service which I didn't receive (which wasn't worth arguing by the end). She was shockingly rough with my hair and made some unnecessary sarcastic comments when I said she was hurting me. She burned a few spots on my scalp during the blowdry and was non responsive when I recoiled in pain or vocally said 'ow that hurts' and this happened over and over again during the drying process. My curls didn't even hold in time for dinner a mere 1.5 hours later, let alone for the remainder of the evening as there was little to no appropriate product applied even though I advised I needed that as my hair doesn't hold well in curls due to it's thickness. A really unfortunate experience where I've paid to not receive the service I asked for, have someone not listen to me then rip half the hair out of my head, burn my scalp and make sarcastic comments when this is highlighted to them - all for me to have to go home and redo my hair myself at the end of it all. Disappointing experience and won't be returning to this particular salon, though will be happy' to go back to the other Blow Dry Bar salons.

Had terrible hair for ages and decided to go with these guys and I can't be happier! Laura looked after me and we had plenty of great banter and my hair just looks super. Feel refreshed and reinvented, I was definitely in good hands! Plus they were dog friendly so my puppies were hanging out in the salon! Great pricing as well, highly recommend!
