Just one sentence "Delicious food that you cannot afford to miss!". This place is just amazing with the choice of Vegan food options and the mouth watering taste. The staff are quick to serve and are very courteous. The cost is also very reasonable. I am definitely going back there.
Every vegan eatery I’ve been to in Newtown has been a delight, and the Green Mushroom is no exception. Nice decor and a wonderful smell of spices hit you as you enter the restaurant. The staff are polite & welcoming. There’s an abundance of delicious dishes on offer - the 3 entrée & main dishes we chose were simply amazing and I’m sure whatever you choose would be just as delicious. Another vegan gem to add to the many gems in Newtown.
Delicious! Was here with 30 people and food came fairly quick with the size of our event! The food is amazing and I’m addicted to the vegan cheese naan. Can’t wait to go back! Now my favourite Indian!
We had family dinner last Saturday of May 2022 we ordered several dishes to share. All the dishes came except the rice so we had to eat everything without any rice. I tried vegan Lamb very hard and chewing..
Was pleasantly surprised by how awesome the food was. It was fresh, tasty with lots of herbs and spices and not at all oily like many Indian restaurants. Highly recommend to any vegetarians, vegans or people wanting a meat free meal. I'd recommend booking a table because it filled very quickly on the Saturday night we were there. Staff were attentive and friendly. We would definitely have a meal here anytime.
Warning atmosphere. Friendly and professional customer service.The food is simply sublime! The Italian girl that served our table recommend us the top best selling dishes, and we were not disappointed. I have to go back to try literally everything they have on their menu. Definitely go for the mango ice cream, the pistachios one was not as intense in flavour as I thought it may be. This place a must try in Glebe!
Nice to see them at their new place. Its twice the size of the old one in Glebe and feels a lot more spacious. The food is great and unlike most other Indian food, doesn't leave you with a heavy gut feeling. The sesame naans are great here The ambience is great and staff are friendly. Could be a bit quicker as I had to wait a bit for someone to come take my order. But worth the wait. Cool spot to impress vegan friends with your knowledge of vegan places in Sydney. Parking might be a struggle in this part of Newtown.
I am posting this review based on how this tasted compared to traditional indian food. The food was extremely sweet and i felt like I was eating warm desserts. Had the mixed veggie curry and potato eggplant curry with naan and pulao rice. The mixed veggie curry tasted like a very sweet n sour sauce and the rice tasted like a sweet rice pudding. This place is a let down for all the raving reviews it has. If you are after authentic indian food I would give this a pass.
Impeccable customer service! There was a problem with my order because I used door dash, however the staff/owner so graciously sorted it out - on the house too. Thank you so much, you really made my day and I will certainly be back for more delicious vegan indian!
Awesome food. Went with my in-laws who are not vegan and are super fussy, they loved each item. We ordered lamb roganjosh and veg korma with bread basket. Cheese naans were super delicious and my in-laws ordered more. Highly recommended.
