Outstanding value, relaxed service, funky setting and generous portions of flavoursome food. What else could you ask for? We went for Xmas in July/Sunday roast. $45/pp for 3 courses and a welcome drink. Garlic bread was scrumptious. We were on roast pork weekend and WOW! A giant wedge of meat, tender and moist, but also with crackling. The veg was yummy and equally generous. They gave us a nice break in between courses with an epic “90’s English pop” playlist in the background, and we wrapped up with sticky date pudding. Wonderful waitress too, who was smiley, informative, and attentive, without being pushy. All round great experience.
What an amazing place for casual dining and for any event. there's a private Sky Room which we used for our function, you can open the roof and balcony doors so it feels like an outdoor venue Food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and the venue is so preeeettty! with all the plants and the designer interior. even at the bathroom you can have a nice view of the trees outside : Juju the events' manager was very helpful and accommodating to our needs, THANK YOU! Would definitely come back! Just loved it! I'd give 6 stars if I could!
We hosted our wedding reception here and I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. The food is delicious, the cocktails are amazing and the service is phenomenal. We came for dinner before picking it and didn’t let them know, we got the same service then and on our reception night. The vibe is 12/10 as well. Special mention to JuJu who had to deal with my stress and 100 changes. She was amazing to deal with.
We saw the good reviews here so we decided to visit. The venue itself is beautifully green and it is in a lovely north sydney corner. Lots of light in a sunny day. The food was a disappointment. We ordered the seafood platter and the seafood didn’t taste fresh. The scallops were the best out of the platter of seafood, and the octopus were very over cooked and tasted slightly odd. My partners caramelised pork was perhaps a bit too fatty for him, and it really didn’t wow us. Perhaps too bland for our taste. I had the most disappointing dish, the aglio e olio- there was way too much pasta- and way too over cooked. I’d say it is the most disappointing pasta I’ve ever had in Australia. Yes I get that for $45 you need to show value, however the pasta needs to be al dente - not so soft you had to pick it up using a spoon it would break and fall everytime I used a fork The menu was not a strong menu- it was a little Asian though not great Asian flavours with some Italian dishes. I’d really ask the designer to consider what the key identity strengths might be, then stick to it. It seems it is trying too hard to be all things to all people.
Five stars isn't enough to express how amazing the service was at the Green Moustache. My fiance and I had our engagement celebration here and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a fantastic time. The venue was stunning, the food delicious and we can't thank our waitress Barbara enough for how quickly and efficiently she catered to the drinks needs of everyone. Thanks so much to all the staff involved!
My partner and I had our intimate wedding in the Sky Room at The Green Moustache. Our guests constantly commented on how beautiful the space was and how good the food was. We had 35 guests in total and we had enough space for a dance floor. A huge thank you to Juju at The Green Moustache, her communication was fantastic and all her organisation made the night a huge success. The venue also has a partnership with a baker and a florist who were so easy to work with and did an outstanding job. The venue also had a cake stand and easel for us to use which we really appreciated. If you're looking for a space that needs minimal decoration and has great food and atmosphere, we highly recommend The Green Moustache!
Had the 3 course meal worth $75. Didn’t get to sit outside near the bar. Sat inside as we had a large group. The food was alright but don’t think it worth the price though! Although the drinks were quite tasty and you can get a discounted margarita when you figure the riddle in the lift. Birthday celebrants get a free cocktail too.
The decor is ok, a very leafy place. Gives you a very tropical cocktail bar vibe. Cocktails are good, the food not so and the service was ok. Ordered a oysters to start off with and I can taste that they were not freshly shucked and not so fresh either. The mignonette was kept to the side but just missed any real punch or flavor. Then I had the seafood fettuccine; Sounds amazing on paper with the preserved lemon through it....Couldn't taste the preserved lemon at all. I could taste a tinge of it every 5th bite. They also served it with the cheese melted on top of it already. What if I didn't want the cheese??!?! The service was ok. There were too many tables for the amount of waitstaff there that they clearly couldn't cope. They were very friendly though and made up for the fact that the food was average at best.
Very nice spot for drinks or dinner. Great decor and staff. A bit more pricey than average but also some pretty unique dishes and combination. Food has an Asian twist and is very fresh. The dessert were delicious. Our meals were good but some were a bit overpriced for what it was. We had the market fish, chicken salad, sashimi, pork belly, asparagus, fries, roasted pumpkin, panna cotta and chocolate ganache.
The staff here were lovely and the mock tails offered a nice selection. The music was fantastic and ambience great. The only small let down was it was sometimes hard to get a waiters attention to order more food/drinks. We went as a couple but it looks like a good place to go with a group too.
