It had been many a long day since I'd done an escape room, having done many prior to Covid. From the moment we walked in to Rush were greeted by Alex I knew we'd chosen a fantastic venue. Attentive, enthusiastic and professional Alex was a fantastic Games Master. The room Matrix was great, done with two people it was a challenge but a fair one. If you've been itching to do something fun now we are free, what better way than locking yourself in a room with some friends. Thank you to Alex, they made an already great experience exceptional.
Was a great experience. We did the Secret Agent Man. Was the most difficult apparently. It was only our second time ever doing an Escape Room with our crew… and according to Lola we did an amazing job as only 15% of the people are able to complete and escape the Secret Agent Man room. We got through 70-75% with no clues, if we weren’t stubborn and asked for clues we would’ve probably escaped! Good to know though for future experience. Thanks Lola and Rush Escape Room for the class above experience. Will definitely be back to try out other rooms.
We had the most amazing time at the Rush Escape Room South Yarra. We did the Matrix Loaded room and how much fun it was! Challenging at times but rewarding and so many clever nods to the movie franchise. A massive shout out to our games master Andrew, he has the most infectious positive attitude and his enthusiasm and encouragement made the experience even more positive and fun! Definitely will be back to do the other rooms soon!
Played two excellent rooms in one afternoon. The Last Knight Rises was a good mix of logic, maths and dexterity based puzzles, with collaboration being key to multiple puzzles recommend a calculator, they let you use your phones. Secret Agent Man was my favourite, with less sequential paths through and fun elements I haven't seen in other rooms. The set dressing in both rooms was fabulous, particularly all the graffiti Easter eggs/references in SAM. Big shout-out to our GM Hayley, whose enthusiasm and encouragement bolstered our overall experience of Rush. Will definitely be back for more rooms!
Review of the Clumanji room in South Yarra which we did as a family of 3 parents + 7yo: we loved it! The room setup & design were awesome, and the clues were well thought of and accessible enough for both parents & kids to be challenged appropriately. There’s not much to improve, but a bigger room with better lighting options and a few more puzzles would have led me to rate this a 5 instead of a 4. Also if you’re a group of adults with lots of experience in escape rooms, you might find the room not challenging enough. Last but not least KUDOS to our game master Andrew who welcomed us so warmly and helped everyone including our shy kid get comfortable quickly. Awesome staff, highly recommend.
We did The Last Knight Rises and though it was a lot for two people we definitely enjoyed it! Our Game Master Sarah was great and even let us stay in the room for an extra few minutes so we could finish the last few puzzles! This room would probably be ideal for a larger group especially as it is a big room and there is lots to do! Will definitely return to try other rooms next time we are in Melbourne.
One of the best, if not the best escape rooms in Melbourne. We've been to at least 15 different places, this is right up there. The rooms are set up professionally, the puzzles and flow of the rooms are logical and enjoyable. Varying degrees of challenges. The hosts are great, special mention to Laura! We've done two of their rooms now, will be back to do more!
We have been to two rooms here recently, Cluemanji and The Lost Knight. Having enjoyed over a dozen different rooms around Melbourne, this one is near the top in quality and good game design. First, our experience was made delightful by the welcoming, kind and informative game master Sarah. She set the mood and explained the room really well. Second, the rooms are both decorated with a great eye for detail and decor to set the mood and immerse, making you forget about anything but the room you're trapped in! Last, the puzzles were good quality. While most puzzles were relatively simple and could be solved with solid logic, the sheer volume of puzzles in each room meant you were busy for most of the time. I enjoyed Lost Knight a bit more, it really felt like I was transported back to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade! Choose... wisely.
My first escape room and what an absolute thrill! We took on the Hacksaw room and I was extremely happy with how everything went. The lovely lass working there was in character whenever we asked questions and the room was well laid out, along with the fun and intricate puzzles. Managed to get it done with 10 minutes to spare and only 3 hints which we were wrapped with! Cannot wait to go back and smash out another one in the very near future
I took my nieces and we all had an absolute BALL! The staff were amazing! Lola was fun, friendly and helpful and they even went above and beyond and helped post a jumper we left behind. The room was the perfect balance of fun and challenging with solvable puzzles for all. We will definitely be back!
