Great place for a couple of days.. all parks were full, so we picked a shady spot and enjoyed our time at CT, must visit the lookout and the main street.. also a great Information centre.
Great flat grassy sites. Amenities clean and close to town for shops,cinema and history. Thanks Council.
Charters Towers Motor Show and Swap Meet was on. Great display of cars and swap. Good venue for events.
Great, amenities are wonderful. But they only open it when all caravan parks are full. Enquire thru the information centre. The troll of a gate keeper is a bit hard to take, think she needs a holiday
Lovely and quiet. Amenities are very clean, Waters hot and dogs can run on the oval
Excellent thought by the council and volunteer's a service not many councils offer as we visited the site's and spent $$$$ in the town camp grounds all booked but I think this was better
Good overnight stay considering this was the overflow campground as all the Caravan Parks are booked out at the mo. Very helpful at the information centre. Huge showers and toilets very clean.

We stayed t the showgrounds as an overflow facility for campers. It was packed and very quiet. Facilities were clean. Thanks for accommodating us.
I went to the Charters Towers Show Grounds for the Country Music Festival. The festival was a great weekend. The show grounds are a traditional country show ground. They were easy to find, with ample parking close to the entertainment and had good facilities. Has a great country atmosphere.
