Gotcha

We visited this place on Sunday 6 March 2022 at approximately 8pm. When we arrived there was a girl cleaning some equipment, she was working alone. We stood there for 5 minutes and she ignored us like we didn't exist, but she obviously knew we were as we were standing right in front of her. She tried her best to avoid eye contact with us and only looked up when my wife asked her if they were closing. The girl looked annoyed and signalled her to order without talking, no 'hi' or 'how can I help you'. Unbelievably rude. We should've walked away but my wife wanted to try Gotcha tea for the first time. I would've rather the girl tell us politely, 'sorry we're closing' and we would have left. I'm in shocked that small struggling businesses allow rude customer service like this, this alone is enough for us to never come back. Luckily the black sugar milk tea we ordered was also awful. The pearls were too soft and overly sweet and syrupy. The three of us shared a large tea and we couldn't even get through halfway. We hate wasting stuff, but we had to chuck our tea out because it would've made us sick.

Honestly I've always been quite satisfied with the service here but the other day I came here and was told I could not use Liven to pay. So I used card and was charged a surcharge which I do not recall being informed about. Charcoal milk tea came with pearls, I believe it's supposed to come with some type of jelly instead. And it was watered down this time which was disappointing. Well, if Liven is not accepted anymore so I'm not returning. There's always Coco.

Very satisfying experience! Drink was delicious and not too sweet! Such a friendly service too with Vicky, she was very kind and helpful! Will definitely come back again!

This Gotcha is very well priced with heaps of variety. They consistently have a 2 for $10 deal.

Very slow service. The place is obviously heavily understaffed, will keep you waiting for 10 minutes for a simple bubble tea.

The quality of the drinks are very inconsistent. The drinks are often extremely watery mango jasmine green tea tasted like sugar water both times I ordered it, peals can be stale sometimes, and filled with ice even when less ice is requested. There is also often one staff working at a time and drinks can take up to 20mins to be made when there are 3+ drinks waiting to be made because they work very slowly. I feel so bad for the staff when there is a rush. Probably better to go to the other gotcha 5 mins away on Liverpool street for faster service and better quality drinks.

it is ridiculous that only one waitress in this shop responsible for both ordering and making milk tea. We have waited more than 10 minutes before we ordering. You just expect a 30-minute waiting before you got your drink.
