We had a fantastic time with Gordon River Cruises. The tour was stunning and a wonderful way to spend a day in Strahan. Lunch was tasty and offered a wide selection to choose from.nnThe staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Hannah and Sarah in particular were both excellent guides offering a wealth of knowledge about the nature and the history of the area.nnI would highly recommend spending the day with Gordon River Cruises. Thank you for helping make our time in Strahan memorable!
Definitely recommend this cruise... it showcases the incredible scenery of our state's rugged, yet beautiful west coast. We struck it lucky with the weather, sunshine and blue skies which led to picturesque views and impressive reflections along the Gordon River. Food was nice for a buffet style luncheon, especially the salmon! Staff were friendly. The only improvements would be to ensure cabin seats are cleaned and outdoor seats are dry at the beginning of the cruise, and toilets are kept clean and stocked with toilet paper etc. during the cruise.
A must cruise if you are in Strahan, Tasmania. Best value is the ticket where you sit on the top deck, lunch and a drink of choice included with great views as you relax in your seat. Before heading up the river the captain takes you out to The Devils Gate provided the weather is ok. Then a great trip up the river with a couple of stops on the way. It is a full day but it is well worth it.
What a fabulous day on the upper deck. Highly recommend to spend that little extra and enjoy an outstanding experience. Comfortable, amazing service, delicious food and drink throughout the entire trip! Two beautiful short walks that offered very informative history. Our beautiful host Hannah had spectacular commentary the entire trip. We cannot wait to go again and bring the entire family. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you to the staff and Hannah for making our day a fabulous experience, and a day to remember.
Enjoyed a pleasant day out on a very comfortable boat with friendly and informative crew. Enjoyed the information given by voice and multimedia. The lunch provided was satisfactory for situation.nHowever I am disappointed at the lack of acknowledgment of the harm and hurt to the aboriginal people and complete focus on the colonial history. I understand that it is a sensitive subject but we need to acknowledge 40,000 years of history before the arrival of the British and do more to inform and educate and provide employment to the first Australians.
