Top notch local fish and chips spot, the fish was amazing super light and crispy batter that holds it together just enough and falls apart at the bite. Great chips and the calamari rings are not to be missed!
“Sharkies” first day back trading after the new year break. I couldn’t miss this opportunity for the best fish and chips around. Golden Shark Seafood in Gladesville is a must for locals, and anyone looking for a top quality seafood meal, with a range of freshly made salads. I keep my order simple. Battered flathead and chips with extra salt and vinegar. Is that my cardiologist texting me again? C’mon, I walk at least 7km for this, so give me a break. Check the portion size! Who gives you that much fish? Fantastic crispy batter. It really is too much for one person. I really should offer to pay more to get less. Extremely generous.
The clean store, lower prices & friendly enough service aren’t enough to get me to return here. Because in the end it’s a food business & it’s all about the quality of the eating. It’s the taste of the food that makes a customer return. Was it just the oil that left the lingering unpleasant aftertaste? No amount of crispy batter can make up for that.

With past owners this was a lovely local fish and chip shop. NOT NOW. From the very rude owner to the very average food I would do yourself a favour and go somewhere else
Been a customer long enough to see 4 different owners come and go. Last Friday's experience was the worst ever. Rang to place my order and was told 20 minutes. So I made sure I arrived at the 25 minute mark. Finally got my order at 45 minutes. But it didn't end there. My $15 grilled barramundi was about the size of a juvenile sand whiting and the flavour was simply awful. This place does a very good fish cocktail and they good value. The chips are like they have been over processed. As for the rest of the over priced offerings, Sharky has convinced we should have time apart.
$13 bucks chips drink and beautiful fish burger. Fantastic.
The food has always been h Great! But not yesterday. The fish was ok, but the fish cocktails, the chips, and the scollops were overcocked and dried out. Never going here again!!!!!
