Story

The Golden Beach Tavern is a privately owned hotel in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. The GBT is one of the LAST privately owned places on the Coast and we have just completed major renovations. Come and take a look around and while you’re at it enjoy a coffee in our alfresco café, or dine in Almarco’s restaurant. We are changing the way people think about us...the GBT is the new 'it' place to be on the Coast! Don't waste another second...get down here!

Fast service. Very friendly staff, beautiful food. Great atmosphere, music not too loud & easy to talk. Good size serving & it came out quickly. Def want to visit again.
Great place to grab a bite to eat. Nice big serving of food. Friendly staff too. Would come back again another day I am up there
Good selection of drinks and reasonable food. Large indoor seating area with some outside area too. Generally not very busy and there are pokies to feed if you wish.
The staff and the service was excellent, the rooms are quite big and clean, the only thing we found was the room windows and doors don't have fly-screens so at night you can't open them if you would like some fresh air. We like to have the windows open at night with fresh sea air blowing in.
The steak was beautiful and cooked to perfection for a medium rare . Nothing worse than an over cooked steak .
Sadly this was the worst experience we have had here. They didn't have our reservation when we arrived our garlic bread was still cool in the centre our main meals got mixed up and my steak was returned uneaten after the first bite. We realise this is a crazy busy time of year in the hospitality game.
Love going here to our local the feeds are amazing and staff are friendly drinks are cold what more can you ask for
Stopped in for lunch. It was a fresh and tasty lunch served with a smile. GBT has good vibes and great service. Will be stopping back again soon to try another of the Chefs recommendations. Cheers
