Sorry, not a lot of pictures of the food as I forgot to take them. We mainly ordered the lunch specials. Thus was a Christmas Day lunch catch up with friends. Each main averaged $16-$20 per dish. Generous amount of rice on each dish. Mains portion size was average. Tea was $2 per person. An additional 10% surcharge on Christmas Day.
We tried their lunch specials today, combination BBQ with rice, and noodle. They come with roasted duck, BBQ pork, chicken, and roasted pork with crispy skin, Generous portions and very tasty. We asked for extra sauce and chilli, no extra costs, The lunch specials are reasonable priced.
Came here for lunch today on a Sunday, it wasn’t too busy but the food took a long time to arrive, and it seemed quite understaffed. That being said, the food was not bad. I had the combination rice with bbq pork and roast pork and while I would say the bbq pork was average, I particularly enjoyed the roast pork. They also do lunch specials which seem like good value but from the looks of it their dishes are expensive for what they are.
Edited latest: most recent purchase of a whole roast duck & roast pork which all both well above average. However on the other hand, their BBQ pork char Siew was below par. Could be different on another day. This is an updated version of my review as we want there again recently. I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of food served. Nice and tasty. The roast pork is not overly fatty like the previous bad experience I had. Service is above average. I seldom dine in as I usually do takeaways. But the most recent times we went, my family and I were all quite happy with the service. But most importantly is the food. Hence I altered my previous 3 star rating to 4 star rating. Well deserved.
This restaurant has a lot of tables for a book-in. The food quality was above average. Most of all, we had enjoyed dine-in here. The car parking bays are ticket free. The service was good. A bit like a fine dining restaurant. Cheers!
Customer service: 0 star Food quality: 2 star Price range: 2 star Whoever picked up the phone on 9th of October 2022 at 5:40pm, you’re arrogant and rude. Asking for roast pork, then was asked how much I want which is fair enough, I wasn’t sure the portion size they offer, then he started rudely asking, we have $10 and so on. They assume you know their menu like they do. I will never return again. We ordered for roast pork takeaway once and gotten most of the scorched ends which obviously we can’t eat! Beware whoever works there! Some advice for you! ‘You’re not the only Chinese restaurant in Perth, you never know when you have to close down the restaurant because of the disrespectful customer service!’
first time i have roasted duck in my live.. and i love it.. the crispy skin.. the duck meat so tender and juicy.. and also i can smell all the chinesse spice trough the meat,, so love it.. yummy.. good service and cheap price... hope i can try other menu on this restaurant soon.. hehehe
the quality is not like before anymore, i got the worst BBQ Pork in perth yesterday, not fresh, smell fishy when i have my first bite, salty as well. not gona visit anymore....Food: 1/5
It's a Hong Kong style Bbq restaurant. Of course, roast pork, Char Siu and roast duck are central to the dishes. These are served with steam rice, fried rice, stir-fried noodles, soup noodles, stir-fried rice noodles, flat noodles and soup rice noodles, and even Udon. They also these bbq meats as dishes on their own. However, they do serve fish fillet with corn, stir-fried with beef or even Fuyong Omelette. They are also a la carte Chinese dishes such as bean curd, green vegetables, etc. Average price under $20 per dish and so it's popular with working folks in the surrounding areas. Service is good as the staff recognise the regulars and welcome new comers with extra attention. Decent food at decent prices for the average Joe.
What a good find. I am Chinese ethnically. Excellent siew yok roast pork - thin and crispy but not crunchy ie crispy but tough to chew skin. To me there was no gamey taste. The roast duck was tender but lacking in flavour. The char siew bbq pork was acceptable but mediocre. However, would definitely return just for a plate of siu yok as it is one of the best in Perth. Also value-for-money as it was just $12 for the three meat combo plus rice and some veggies and kept me relatively full. Had my meal with a refreshing pot of bitter poh lay or pu'er tea. The waiter was very obliging and polite. Nice laid-back, spacious restaurant with no crowd during weekday lunch.
