Had vegetarian rice sheet wrapped spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce. These never disappoint, fesh and crunchy vegetarian filling.simply yum! Service was fine, I paid and took away. I don't need any atmosphere but for people eating in it's a bit bleak.
Absolutely love stopping at this bakery! Amazing selection of mini and full size pastries and pies, fresh rolls and sweets. Recommend stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood like we always do!!
Great place for pies, pastry and other baked goods. I usually order cold mini pies and samosas through their website when I have friends over. The mini curry puffs are a must try. They also do great rice paper rolls order online for those who are gluten intolerant or celiac.nnIt’s always busy, but the line moves fast. There are a few seats and tables inside and outside under shade cloth. Parking is limited to 6 bays but street parking available on side streets.
I first discovered Golden Bakery in the 90’s when I first came here for work. This was before Pie Eating was a serious endeavour and Facebook pie pages did not exist. I thought they were a pretty good pie.nNow we have Facebook pages like Perth Pie Hunters, we are getting serious. Reading the reviews, I was not sure if these guys rated or not. Today, work brought me to within a kilometer of Golden Bakery at lunch time so I thought I would refresh my memory.nI again went for the Cheese and Bacon double, pie and sausage roll.nThe pie was enormous! Weighing in 364g it was maybe the heaviest pie I have weighed. I do prefer quality over quantity, so I dug in for the taste test. I was not disappointed. This pie had everything you want in a cheese and bacon pie. I would have liked more visible cheese but the flavour was present and it had a real piece of bacon in there. The meat and gravy was predominantly mince and it had a slightly sweet taste which I enjoyed.nThe cheese and bacon sausage roll was also very good
