What a great vibe! We called in mid week and was nice and quiet, amazing service, they offered my daughter a free drink & pack for colouring in. Food was amazing! So good we came back again on Sunday and had a birthday lunch. Loved it! We will be back!
Visited on a Sunday afternoon for dinner around 5PM and didn’t expect it to be pumping there was a DJ playing songs and people dancing so the atmosphere was a bit of a surprise. I soon realized they have a Sunday sesh type thing from 2-6PM on a Sunday. Which is cool, it brought good vibes and my kids were dancing by the bistro nnI ordered the Garlic/Chilli Prawn linguine I don’t normally order non pub food at taverns since it’s usually not great but decided to just give it a go. We also ordered some kids meals chicken schnitzels. I was surprised to hear we were charged for a few glasses of soda water which is usually free at some other taverns. So I was not happy about paying $16.00 for some bubbly water - next time il just buy a drink instead.nnThe kids Schnittys were a bit fancy gourmet with the heavy taste to the Schnitty - crumbed in herbs & thyme to the point it was overpowering the whole meal. I wasn’t a fan and my kids weren’t either. I noticed my son peeling off the outside to eat the chicken instead. Mind you my kids eat anything and even I did not like the taste of the Schnitty, like calm down on the herbs and keep it simple I did like that they offered veggies carrots, tomato with the kids meal and dessert included.nnI must say the linguine I got was actually friken delicious! One of my fav linguines yet, especially in a pub style setting. I was actually surprised as I wasn’t expecting much. But I would definitely go back for this.nnThe service was friendly, the wait staff were really on the ball with cleaning of our tables as we finished our meals and had a smile on their faces. The pricing point is quite good compared to other taverns especially the kids meals. They serve proper quality ice cream tubs for kids Bulla Iceceream not cheapo ice-cream.nnHighly recommend and next time il be prepared to bring more people for Sunday hangs!
Had a great time visiting the Tavern this past weekend. We were down there to see Elvis A Musical Revolution, which was playing at HOTA, just across the road. Everybody enjoyed the food. Food came out in plenty of time for the show.
Catch up with a mate Tuesday night so stocked up on some starters.nnPlenty of seating, QR code to order food.nnMozzarella sticks and chicken wings are next level. Whatever magic coating they use on the wings - don’t change!!! Soooo good.nnDidn’t have enough room for the mains, but it was a lovely evening.
This is the third time I ate here. The atmosphere is very good. Meals, drinks and juices are all good choices, and the children's meals are served quickly, so that the children can be appeased quickly.
