Gold Coast Sign

Upon passing the Gold Coast sign, created to celebrate the 2018 commonwealth games one wonders why such an unimpressive structure was forced into being. Where the games were meant to be a jubilant coming together of nations this so called sign completely fails to deliver anything resemblant of the event. The scattered and incoherent nature of the sign leaves the viewer not inspired as originally intended but somewhat confused and perplexed as to why it was created in the first place. Through the poor planning and terrible execution that has obviously gone into the design this trivial land mark has as much impact as a disorganised hodgepodge of Christmas lights.

I traveled 20 hours by car to see this sign so awesome I’ll take my grandchildren here one day 10/10

this sign isn’t anywhere near the city centre of the gold coast, not to mention this sign cost millions, you can’t even read it!
