It is with the deepest regret that I must pass on the sad news that Global Vegetarian has closed permanently. I arrived there tonight, already with the expectancy of having dumplings in my mouth within a few minutes, to be greeted by this sign on the window. Thank you wholeheartedly to everyone who worked there, for your decades of wonderful and nutritional food. I will miss it dearly.
Without doubt, the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant in Melbourne. We've eaten here dozens of times and it never disappoints. Great value, great flavours, great service.
so so good which was unexpected as i hardly see people in there and it has a food hygiene award from 2000 displayed off-putting, however food was incredible and cheap! i have been here maybe 10 times and never had a bad experience. would give 5 stars if the ambience was a bit better : but food is always lovely
We arrived 15 mins from closing time and were welcomed in warmly. Ordering, service and food delivery was very prompt as the restaurant was almost empty due to close to closing. The food was hot and flavorsome. The Hawaii burger was a fried patty and could have been made healthier but was a large size. The pad thai was very large and faultless. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. There are 14 tables inside and 2 steps to enter the building. Toilets are available. The staff are very friendly.
Always amazing!! My daughter and I share the southern Indian curry mix. Amazing!! For my birthday, 7 friends & I came here for lunch. We shared many meals. Best pad Thai I have ever had. Japanese rice, delicious, The lentil soup is so fabulous.
This place is the epitome of a hearty feed for an excellent price. Everything is strictly vegetarian with 8 dishes being completely vegan and most being able to be changed if needed. The staff are welcoming and friendly but not at all over bearing. Pictured is the miso soup, Singapore noodles and one spring roll they arrive in serves of 3 that didn’t last very long after this photo was taken.
Always a great meal Very fast service and always friendly. Tasty and delicious vegetarian options and chef will cater to your needs including how spicy the dishes need to be. Vegetarian options: Entire menu is vegetarian Dietary restrictions: I garlic no onion accommodated easily
Ordered food online but honestly it was fine just the toffu they used was really hard and almost every item tasted like curry even though it was noodles but tasted like curry even the fried rice sorry for the review but it is what it is Food: 2/5
Great value vegetarian and vegan food, will be coming back again as we really enjoyed the food, year on from my review and still coming back :
The quantity was good, however the food was quite bland. I liked the hot n sour soup but the price for the main dish seems bit high for the quality provided. It may have been rated the best at some point in the past but it's not anymore.
