Ok.. so Glenroy Fish & Chips really need to lift their game! Where do I start? The Batter is not crispy at all, it's really thick and doughy, the Flake was not fresh at all it was literally so unpleasant I couldn't even eat it... After taring it in half to let some heat out, instantly it looked off putting and had a strange smell to it, the Flake was also slimey under the thick tough Batter.. that was a total waste of money, Unfortunately I will never return to Glenroy Fish & Chips. I do not Recommend Glenroy Fish and Chippery I don't understand how people can claim to be a Fish and Chippery while serving such poor quality food...
Nice and clean shop with friendly staff. The food is nicely cooked and well presented. Potato cakes are nice and large but some times they can over cook the food.
Not bad, but far from the greatest fish and chips. Pricing was a little more expensive than it should be, if the quality was better the pricing would be fair.Food: 3/5
Any misunderstandings about your order you don't get any refund.. they will not give your money back be sure to make your order clear as you loose a percentage of your money as the business owner will explain to you that it cost to cook the food and very hard to understand and communicate with in person or over the phone.. Windford Street fish shop and Jim's seafood and grill fish shop are the fish shops to go to in Glenroy
I've eaten here twice, both times ordered the burger with the lot combo and a snapper. Everything was fantastic exception of the fish something was abit off both times, I don't know what it is? It was like very undercooked n fishy if that makes any sense?
Raw & undercooked fish with a very thick batter which wasn't cooked at all. The fish had no taste, chips smelled of recycled oil. Waste of money and time. Never going back here again.
Great place to buy good flake and Chips... The batter is great tasting and they cook the flake perfectly. Good sized fish so the flake is large in size too. The chips are perfectly cooked, they are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Potato cakes are also really nice, reasonable sized and great tasting. I highly recommend this place if you want good fish and chips.
The service and food here are always fantastic. The staff remember us and orders are on point. We've even had them round down our order when short chanted, haven't had that service for years. The fish, pineapple rings and sausages are all hand battered and taste great. Their burgers are cheap and filling, and they cheap drinks too. This is my local, and I'll keep going back!
Good service, never stuffs up your order & cooked as fish and chips should be cooked....perfect.
9/1/22 Thanks for providing a clean shop with covid protocols in place to keep us as safe as possible. Much better than any other fish shop in the area. Pretty good shop. Just wish they could get some falafel souvlaki or veggie patty for the burgers.
