Great location to park the caravan while exploring the area being close to Gladstone Central. Water and power hook-ups fairly easy but may need longer leads/hoses on some sites. We were squeezed in very close to other vans and not sure why. No dump point is a negative, plus be prepared to level up quite a bit. Two sets of toilet facilities and a separate unisex shower block.
Left a text message on the Showground site phone number , asking about availability from 17/5/25 for a few nights due to Ute being serviced , received a message back to say we were all booked in , arrived at the office to find a lovely fill in caretaker as permanent caretaker was ill , paid by card cash also fine we chose our site after being told what area was more level , toilets /showers clean & tidy nothing flash but that’s normal for Showground amenities soap & paper towel to wash hands , $30 for power & water with amenities is pretty good , would definitely come back and stay again
Caretakers were lovely and toilets and showers clean. Very nice coffee and breakfast spot across the road and a fresh seafood van stops out the front certain days. Seafood was great. Not much shade or green grass and grounds are run down but ok as a stop for a day or two. Dog friendly.
The caretakers are very pleasant to talk to and very helpful. Amenities are clean. It is close to town and is quiet at night.
4 great days city lights at night to enjoy. The volunteers do a great job thanks to all. A good coffee shop and a great hairdresser across the road . A great location to explore from thanks
