Had an amazing first time experience at this studio which really felt like a calming oasis. Bella led us through a Vinyasa Flow class focusing on lightness and warmth, and gave us many options and space to do what our bodies needed on that day. I felt so rejuvenated after class and I’m looking forward to come back again!
What a wonderful, welcoming studio. Visiting from the U.S. in December we did a week of classes at Gertrude St and felt right at home. From hot tea in the lounge area to the warm embrace of the teaching style, we were able to modulate our practice for what we needed that day. In the middle of everything and close to tram stops. Will certainly be back on our next trip!
A beautiful spacious studio, friendly instructors and good vibes all round. The intro offer is great! Do your body a favour and give it a go. One of the nicest yoga studios I've been to, caters to all levels and makes new people feel welcomed.
An incredible studio with exceptional teachers and a broad range of yoga practice for all abilities. This is where I really developed my life long affinity with yoga. It is also wonderful yogi family and community that you become part of.
Oh what a beautiful space to practice Yoga.. I have been here 4 times now and can safely say this is one of my FAVOURITE studios I've ever been to..and I have visited many in my travels around the world. I've taken both Hannahs and Elisa's wonderful classes..what a lovely experience and a real embodied practice with amazing practitioners..I won't go on but all I say do your body mind and soul a favour and experience this gorgeous space for yourself

Wonderful instructors, beautiful space. I'm not normally particularly spiritual but I find such a sense of peace when I practice at this studio. The classes are genuinely about mind body connection, not about trying to nail complicated poses. Always lots of adjustments suggested so that all levels can practice.
It was my first time to Gertrude St Yoga today and I cannot recommend it enough. Jess was a wonderful teacher and really encouraged me & the other students to explore different movements, doing what made us feel comfortable. It’s not everyday you find a studio that is completely free of judgement and expectations. I’m so happy with my experience and will definitely be back!
I am staying in Fitzroy over the summer holidays & so I signed up to the 5 introductory classes offered by GSY. I fell in love with the studio from my first class — it is such a serene space, & all of the teachers are wonderful! I have taken classes of many different styles with Hannah, Venus, Jaspah & Elisa & have found them all to be amazing. I feel grounded & at peace with myself after a class at GSY & would highly recommend this studio if you are after an authentic & intentional space for your yoga practice P.S. I wish I would have taken photos as the studio is such an aesthetic delight, but I always leave my phone in my bag so as not to distract myself!
