Gather on the Green is a laid back local cafe opposite Camperdown Oval with a vintage feel & an emphasis on local, ethical & sustainably sourced product. Coffee is excellent with beans by Mecca, winner of SMH's Boutique Roaster of the year 2012!

Story

LOCAL - SUSTAINABLE - ETHICAL
At Gather we endeavour to support local & small business where possible. We believe that this helps to protect not only our environment but also our community.
We take care in procuring produce that is ethically sourced & grown. With both owners being vegetarians, it was important for us to support free or open range farms where possible.
We continually strive to find high quality & unique suppliers that share our passion for quality produce with a conscience.

Great cafe across the road from Camperdown Park. If the weather is nice, bring a picnic rug and eat on the grass. The food was fantastic and the portions are large. My kids and I enjoyed our Saturday brunch. The Lobster Eggs Benedict was well worth it! We will be back again to try other dishes! Highly recommended!
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely cafe, a wonderful space for meeting up with friends! The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing! Their homemade muffins are absolutely the best. Great owner and great coffee. I’ve gone here every day for the past four months, every single cup of coffee hits the spot. The atmosphere is cozy and nice, certainly my absolute favorite go-to spot as a local. The outdoor seating is perfect when the weather’s nice. Highly recommend!
The breakfast options are more interesting than the wrap and burger lunch options but I did like the burger as it was fresh and not to heavy. The coffee is excellent and the atmosphere nice for the area, parking can be a challenge but was good on a Sunday afternoon.Food: 4/5
Masala Chai tea was amazing, nice and hot and comforting. The coffee supercharger also tasted amazing! However the food I ordered was completely cold. I can understand if food is warm because I ordered delivery, but it was cold. I ordered 2 sandwiches and they're cold, that's fine because they're sandwiches. The morning after breakfast - everything stone cold Edit: I'd understand if the entire order was cold, but just the food was cold and the drinks were perfectly fine. But perhaps you made the drinks after the uber driver came to pick it up. Thanks for giving a response maybe I'll try again next time
This is a great neighbourhood cafe. Located next to Camperdown oval, the cafe allows you to sit in the park and will deliver your meals to you, they also offer picnic blankets. The food here is classic cafe food, I dine here a lot and generally have scrambled eggs, they are a little hit and miss with the cooking, sometimes the eggs are over cooked and sometimes they get them right, they always taste great though. Coffee here is by Campos so you know what to expect, they also offer all the milks you could wish for.
Outstanding customer service with friendly, efficient and welcoming staff especially Harry. The coffee is by far the best in the area, mainly due to it's consistency. If you are looking for "the" coffee, this is the place to order. Kid-friendliness: They always have fresh ginger bread cookies and other several options for children. I strongly recommend the ham and cheese toasty.
some ppl eats in the park across. I had Tofu&Mushroom. Sourdough is amazingly crispy and yummy,I could eat only sourdough itself. We can sit in front of the park as well.
Really lovely little cafe. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of options to sit inside and outside, as well as a vast supply of picnic blankets to sit on the park or oval just opposite the cafe and they'll bring food over to you. Coffee was decent and the food was yummy. Good spot for casual catch ups, with kids and or dogs!

Ordered peanut butter in toast. They sent me cold toast with the condiments in a little container. Am working full time from home and have my 2 year old with me, just wanted ready-made food delivered. Nope, cold and you've gotta butter it yourself. If you're just packing up toasted bread to serve to people, what service are you really providing?
