This place has one of my favourite cocktails although I can't remember what it's called but will find out! Discovered this place with a friend and we really liked it - dark, cosy and a good vibe. Great customer service and cocktail list. They also do wine and beer if you're not a fan of cocktails. I'd recommend trying a cocktail or two though. Am keen to try food menu too one of these days.

This little hole in the wall is hard to find, but if you do, you'll find a casual selection of popular Japanese whiskeys not top shelf, or rare, but still great for a common drop. There's ramen, deep fried chicken and lots of nibbles to be found. The atmosphere is casual, dark and intimate and on the weeknight I went, was really nice - not noisy and laidback.

Visited on a weekday late afternoon and was a bit busy. People mostly getting afterwork drinks. The bar looks quite nice. No staff around except for a busy bartender. Ended up placing our order at the bar. Loved the interiors. Sat down and some of the tables were a bit dirty and for some reason there were a lot of flies at the seating area. Menu is simple and offer some variety. I love poké bowls so this was not bad, was actually good. Freshly prepared rice but was too warm to be served with poké. Also way too much rice vs other ingredients. Salmon and veggies were fresh. Asked for some mayo with my poké and it just added that finishing touches to it. Overall good experience with the food itself, but a bit of attention to cleanliness and service would make this place a go to.

Awesome staff, delicious ramen. Egg was perfect! Chashu pork sliced up pretty thickly but so full of flavour. Nori chips were liberally coated in wasabi powder, very spicy, very tasty. Would recommend. Extensive cocktail and whiskey menu.

Was disappointed with the food here unfortunately! We ordered the chicken teriyaki and asked for no sweet cord, and the nori chips. The nori chips had a lot of wasabi on them, I enjoyed this, but I do think should have been mentioned on the menu as it was very strong. The chicken teriyaki was very salty, with quite dry chicken, I didn’t enjoy it. There was also only 4 small pieces of chicken, a piece of avocado and the mainly rice, for $15 it was over priced, you can pay a similar amount for much more in the same area. Sorry for the photo, I had to crop it In saying that, I have also been here for drinks before and really enjoyed it. Would go back for drinks but not food.

I had great fresh snack food Japanese style fried chicken with garlic mayo combined with professionally made Negroni. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Good music was playing at a comfy volume for a modern place like this. Some Mexican Japanese fusion on the menu too!

Delicious food and cocktails! Very quick everything. I'd definitely recommend it!

Amazing selection of Japanese ingredients and house infusions. Alessio is crafting incredible drinks in Auckland. Must visit.

The food was really good. The steamed pork bun was super soft and had great flavour. Good balance of sweet, and savoury. The roast duck taco is also great. The duck was tender and was really impressed by the Asian take on a soft shell taco. The atmosphere is nice inside and they have a good selection of Japanese whisky and spirits in general.
