A group of 6 of us came here on Sunday afternoon, after visiting the Farmers Markets. The hotel is well maintained and staff are friendly. The food which I ordered, and was recommended and on the special menu was a bit disappointing. Pasta was overcooked and the corn tempura lacked the batter to make it more like a fritter. The chips though was okay, but gravy was a bit watery. However, my friend's steak sandwich was cooked well. Portions were generous and there's a live band at the back. Not bad for dropping by. However I'll recommend to try to more classic pub foods.
Visited on a Thursday night for dinner around 8pm, plenty of tables available and food came out quickly. Service was very friendly and the decor is warm and inviting. The food itself was wonderful - the beef nachos were absolutely perfect and the special of the day, an Indian style lamb soup was exquisite love in a bowl.
The food is nice nothing to rave about, we had the salmon & the barramundi. They were both nice but could have been much better. The inside of the pub is nice too but the outside dining out the back is tired, old, dusty & dirty. It’s a real shame as it looks like it used to be lovely - but now it looks neglected sadly.
Great interior design keeping the original building and interior design. Amazing display of vintage early 1900 memorabilia and decor. The food was a bit on the pricey end in comparison to the smaller cafes and restaurants nearby. The portions were huge though. Delicious pub style food. Bar on one side and the restaurant on the other.
The outside area is really nice on a warm day - live music was on which was also a great addition. When it comes to food, vegan options on the menu are tasty but definitely not worth its price - asian salad especially. Portions are small snd not fulfilling. Wouldn't recommend eating here if you're vegan but drinks and atmosphere is great.
The food here was really good and fast service. I had a chicken schitti and mash and veg and my friend had beef narchos. The staff are great and they carry a wide selection of craft beer. I also like the pub because it has character and is not modern and 'posh'. It is an old school pub with a really nice vibe.
Amazing pub, unsurprisingly popular with the locals! Gets very busy at peak times of the weekend with people from far and wide, so it's worth booking. Huge outdoor areas, perfect for kids & also did friendly. Comes with plenty of character and the staff are very friendly. The menu is full of pub classics & the food is delicious. What's not to like!!
What a great pub to visit if you are in the Valley. Very interesting indoors and wide open fresh outdoor big space. Food also very nice.
A pretty good pub. Just be weary they offer cocktails but only on certain days. There is a great selection of craft beers on tap Bentspoke There is a huge playground as well as a massive outdoor area. It's a great stop for any road trip.
The only pub in town. Friday night very busy. Reserved a table - highly suggested! Friendly welcome and bar team were chatty and efficient. Bistro busy, kitchen flat out. Friendly customer service, but did not advise 45mins plus wait time for meals to be served, so bit of a let down as approached 2 times following up order. Food was delicious for general pub food, huge portions, very well priced. Ok for a hearty pub meal.
