I had a high fever today and this clinic was the only place still opening on public holiday very grateful. Overall experience was average, the experience with doctor was good, Dr John Newton was patient and helpful but the receptionist was not so friendly and kept looking at me and quietly discussed something with another man. I don’t have Medicare card so they gave me the receipt so I could make a claim on my own health insurance. Hope this is helpful for other viewers.
This clinic is terrific! An easy on eye site to book, kind friendly receptionist. Dr.John Newton is knowledgable, informative, listen to my concerns and discuss all available options.
Dr Toai Phan and the staff at Freshwater Place Medical have been fantastic in treating me over the last 6 years. My medical conditions have at various stages been extremely trying, Dr Toai’s professionalism and care has been exemplary.
Dr Adjoa is amazing, listens to patients and gives great advice. Only thing this clinic never adheres to appointment times. There’s wait always.
Medical Centre is located upstairs on the inside of the building. Go past McDonalds and 7 Eleven, there is a stairwell on the left right after the sushi place. The medical centre is located next to the physio upstairs.
I cannot speak highly enough of this practice. Their reception staff are always helpful and friendly. The clinic is efficiently run and observes sound, modern medicinal principles e.g. not giving out antibiotics like they're jelly beans. My experience has been over 5+ years, predominantly with Dr John Newton who I still see now. John has been incredibly helpful, patient, kind and caring in his approach managing what has turned out to be chronic illness. For most of that time I was a student in a dire financial and physical health and getting good care can be difficult but I never had trouble at this practice. Lastly, this place is tucked away off the Yarra above a walk-through mall, but has a very pleasant waiting area and is well-kitted out. Thank you so much to all the staff for such a great experience and I highly recommend this practice to anyone.
Freshwater place medical sent me an urgent referral when I arrived at my ultrasound appointment to find there was none. I was in dire need and they came to my rescue without hesitation, if they weren’t so helpful to me I would’ve had to wait at least a month for another appointment. Thank you so much
Great medical centre for bulk billing! The process is easy to follow and they send reminders via text and online survey to confirm the purpose of the appointment. Dr Mensa-Ababio is so professional and lovely, would highly recommend booking with her!
Shockingly bad service. Booked a new patient consult with Dr Jessica Campbell who declined to refer me for a specific blood test I wanted, which is okay, but was exceedingly arrogant and defensive when I tried to ask questions about the criteria/process for Medicare inclusion. She outright refused to answer genuine questions, dismissing them with "I'm the doctor", and then simply cancelled the consult five minutes in and walked out. Stunning. Never experienced anything like it at a clinic. Complaint to Practice Owner went nowhere as was clear he had zero interest in taking my experience seriously, just defending his employee and moving on. Total waste of time, recommend avoiding.
Went there for my vaccine and they charged me $50 for it saying that I don't have a Medicare card. The vaccine is free and rebated, the charge was for a consultation fee apparently. I was told this with the needle in my arm ready to inject. None of this was mentioned in any of the forms I filled for the confirmation of appointment. On top of everything the female doctor seemed disinterested in the appointment, didn't monitor my vitals for 15 minutes as suggested by the government. Please clarify, if this is legal, I was attended by a female doctor but my invoice says services rendered by Dr. John I am sad about the whole experience as I felt like I was swindled for a mere $50. Now my private insurance is only reimbursing $17
