The best fish & chips place in Riccarton, Christchurch. Fresh fish, thick cut, crunchy golden chips. My standard order: 1x battered tarakihi, 1x scoop of chips with chicken salt and a side of sweet thai chilli sauce. They never disappoint. 10/10
Friendly people and reasonable prices. Scoop of chips was a little smaller than expected but cooked beautifully. Light crispy batter on the fish, tasty pineapple ring and seafood stick, huge jam wrap. Our new go-to for F&C's
Superbly cooked fish & chips. We had grouper & snapper and both were fresh, crispy & tasty. Chips were thick cut, clean oil and cooked just enough. Parking: Crazy busy parking lot shared by many businesses. It took 10 minutes or so to find an empty stall.
Im a regular customer to fresco. Today, I’m so disappointed as I had fish smell like ammonia which suggested it is not fresh at all. I had 2 bites and dumped it. And yes, I could have go back and return it but just can’t be bother, It is more of trust to the shop failed me.
I Feel the lady staff that seems to run the place ..comes across as quite arrogant my third time and as of today it will be my last.. .. not very polite.. never seen a smile yet..a simple smile would be nice some people are just plain cold. Sorry but I am that one person who isn't just there to be putting money in your till. I will give my money to a people who show even the simplestness of politeness.

Our family lived in Christchurch between 1992 to 1997 and I remember the days when mom would drive me and my sister to this place to get fish and chips. Every time when I visit Christchurch NZ I would always come here to reminiscent of the old days. The last time I visited was back in 2015. The female owner is nice, she used to give us a little bit extra when we visited.
After a quick phone call it was only a 10 minute wait on the first day of level 3, and delicious as always! Fresh scallops were a treat! Never oily, cooked just right. Favourite fish n chip shop in Christchurch!
