It was pumping here on state of origin night! Probably about 10 people waiting for their orders and 10 people in queue yet to order. The line progressed pretty quickly and surprisingly didn't take too long before I got my order. Pretty efficient operation.nFood was good overall however a little on the salty side both the chips and the chicken. The chicken wings and breasts were a tad dry, but still edible. The thighs and drumstick were nice and juicy. Definitely get the chilli sauce as it is a bit zesty and helps balance out the saltiness. The tomato rice is like a fried rice but a bit too soft and mushy for my liking - this I would not order again. The Portuguese tarts were quite tasty, a bit more of the tart to pastry ratio would have made it even better. There's a parking area as well as street parking if needed.
Delicious food and good service. Portuguese charcoal chicken is their expertise. The spicy sauce are one of their best one.
Apparently a local favourite here in Western Sydney, as a Brisbanite i had no idea but glad i stopped by. The Atmosphere was pumping packed at 8pm an hour before close, service was friendly and quick, clean restaurant and ample seating. As far as Portuguese charcoals restaurants go i can tell you this, keep eating Nandos, this shop is not competing with them.nnThey are both the top but distinctly different. I would say this shop closely resembles Oporto and it and it clearly can hold its own. I would suggest adding a fresh pineapple option for the burger i think its would elevate it so much more. Chips themselves are good but wont show McDonald’s the door anytime soon, it’s the sauce toppings that make them great. Corn is something i would usually get at other same style restaurants but just lacked a bit of flavour unless thats what they were going for then it was tender juicy and sweet as expected. Overall it’s a good visit and nice change to the norm. If you feel like opening a location in Brisbane i know you will do well.
Vege burger and chicken burger were both great and demolished within minutes! Chips are always crunchy, perfectly salted and delicious!
