Managed to squeeze in on a busy Friday at the start of the school holidays. We were greeted by incredibly friendly staff and were patient with us despite being run off their feet during rush hour. After ordering the Prawn Linguine and Cotto pizza it was delivered to us within 5min! The food was enjoyable but lacked the wow! factor that we have experienced at other restaurants during our South Island road trip. However if you’re in the area it’s well worth a stop in.
An absolutely lovely dining experience. We called into Francesca's on our wedding night; all the staff were absolutely delightful and the team made our evening an absolutely amazing dining experience - even opening up one of the outdoor greenhouses for us, which proved to be a private and romantic setting with a lovely warm heater. As for the food, we indulged in entrees, mains, and desserts, and everything was delicious. Thank you to the Francesca's team.
Lovely dining experience at Francesca’s. Perfect place to take my parents visiting from out of town. Delicious food, great ambience and friendly staff. Flavours were very impressive. We shared polenta chips to start. I had the pork belly with an Italian style apple sauce which was amazing. Who can go passed tiramisu? It was a very good finale to dinner. Highly recommend the house Chianti too!
Special of the day, chicken and spinach ravioli was delicious. Polenta fries, supposedly best in Wanaka, did not disappoint too. Mushroom risotto was comforting and just the right amount of savoury. Pepperoni pizza, however, was just only OK.
The best wood fire oven baked pizza in Wanaka, to note my son ate all the ham&cheese. He also loves the polenta fries. Food is excellent, service and hospitality is of high standard. Staff are friendly. We will surely come back when we return to Wanakaz
Among the best restaurant in Wanaka. Usually fully booked in evening so reservation is strongly encouraged. Friendly staff that suggested some great food for the evening. Pizza was the highlight for our dinner. Will definitely come back again. Carpark available just behind the restaurant.Food: 5/5
Food was good! They have a gluten free pasta you can sub in and gluten free crust for pizza. Was able to get a walk in, but it was busy.
Definitely a must-do dinner spot while in Wanaka. Highlights of our meal were the polenta fries, tartufo pizza, chicken pizza with vegan cheese that actually melted and was good, the mushroom risotto special of the day, and the tiramisu. Oh my godddd the tiramisu was good. We ended up spending about $50 per person for a three course meal plus drinks. Can’t wait to go back!
This place is amaaaaazing. We came on a busy night and the staff made an extra effort to get us in which was really nice. The food is incredible - the pizza bases are the best I've had, and the service during the meal was fantastic as well. I will recommend this place to everyone!
This is an amazing Italian restaurant and all of the dishes are so delicious. Had the Beef Carpaccio, the fire oven pizza and Panna Cotta for dessert and all were outstanding. My wife had the seafood risotto and the seafood was plentiful and so fresh. The wait staff is super friendly and the bar makes one of the best gin martinis I have had since hitting NZ. Highly recommend and make sure you make reservations as the place is always packed
