If your anxiety wont let you enjoy countdown, try this place, way less people and much nicer staff. Don't be fooled by it's small size, it has 99.9% of the usual... they have a really great selection of meats from the butcher and fresh bread from the baker. I was really surprised at how competitive their pricing is. Also has all your lotto and tobacco needs.
DO NOT BUY THEIR SUSHI! I bought “fresh” sushi from here and it tasted terrible. I was starving so I ate two pieces anyway, and the next day I had food poisoning. Very disappointed that I spent $6.50 on it and had to have two days off work. I won’t be back.
Great store, great staff. Very sad to see it is closing. I've continued to shop here even done countdown came to Amberley as I'd much rather support NZ owner/operators.
I love shopping here. Great staff, they are always trying to help you and they are very friendly people. They have some local product that you can not find anywhere else.
Bret and the crew bring "care" to 4 square. Great service, selection, and smiles make shopping in Amberley an event rather than a chore.
It might not be the fanciest and flashy supermarket in town, but the service is very good and you find a good range of products not available in the big supermarkets.
