This is the hidden gem of Christian books in the Hills, and one of the wonderful secrets of second-hand Christian books in Sydney. Open only Wed-Fri from 9am-1pm and 2-5pm, this shop has a uniquely wide range of Christian books from recent to historical. I found so many of the Christian books I grew up with here, as well as a whole range I never knew existed. I could stay there for hours. It is run by a couple of staff each day - Alan, Elizabeth and John being the main people - and being in the centre of ARV retirement village it is a quiet space in a quiet locale. You can feel you have all the time in the world looking through here for Christian living books, bibles, commentaries, theological books, biographies and Christian fiction, even a few DVDs and CDs. They welcome donations, so if you thought you had no way of letting go of your Christian books, this is your opportunity! They carefully catalogue them in their computer system, and when you purchase books they record your purchases by hand to go into the system later. I wonder if enough people know about this place from outside the village, because it really should be made known that this place is here. There are also a couple of shops next to it, selling fashion clothing and books respectively, all used or pre-loved items. They also accept donations but are only open Tues, Thurs and Sat, 9-11am which is even more limited a window. Come today and you won't be disappointed.
