We had a lovely dining experience at Fosh, Portside Wharf. From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us a warm welcome which set a positive tone for the evening. The open and cosy dining setting made for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.nnThe food was excellent — both in quality and value for money. Everything we ordered was fresh and well-prepared, and we were impressed with the pricing for the standard delivered.nnThe only downside was feeling a bit rushed by the staff. A few of our unfinished dishes were also cleared away without being offered the option to take them home, which was disappointing.nThat said, it was overall a positive experience and enjoyable night.

Twelve of us visited for a Friday lunch and ordered the swell banquet, a seafood feast. The restaurant was half full, it wasn’t particularly busy.nnThe service was a bit slow. It took a very long time to serve us our first round of drinks, and one drink was missing. We also waited about 30 minutes between the entree and the main course, which I thought was too long.nnOverall, the food was good, but it wasn’t spectacular. The Moreton Bay bug spaghetti was particularly disappointing. The pasta was grossly overcooked, the bug wasn’t fresh, and I found the sauce a bit weird – it didn’t match the bug or the pasta.nnIt was quite a lot of food for a $88 banquet, so I think it was pretty good value for money.
First impression walking into this restaurant - dim lighting, intimate table decor, views of Brisbane River and fine dining-level service, spelt romance and promise of a sumptuous seafood experience. Service was faultless - courteous, attentive, thoughtful and quick! Our water glasses were constantly getting refilled. Our food was served in nicely timed succession. Had a banquet for 2, and were sooo stuffed by the end. Food was presented well and simply, with generous portions and plenty of lemon wedges. Worth the trip, and will be back to try other banquets.
