Been wanting to go to Forrester's for a while and they take the Sunday roast to a whole new level with their special large Yorkie, where all the trimmings nestle inside the Yorkshire pudding itself. The meat was tender, the vegetables were flavourful, and there was enough gravy to soak up all that Yorkie! Coupled with the warm, inviting ambiance and friendly service, Forresters offers a unique and delightful twist on the traditional Sunday roast. It’s an experience that's as comforting as it is delicious.
We ordered angus steak medium well done for me and my husband. My husband got a borderline medium rare to well done and I got medium rare but even if I could only eat the edges of the steak coz I do not like my meat raw and red, it was still alright. The beans and mash were delish. The mushroom sauce was savory. I enjoyed my margarita and my husband loved his beer. The ambiance was lovely and staff were friendly.
Actually it was our third walk-in for Sunday lunch, and at last a table was available. Big Yorkie, the headliner, is unquestionably worth having. The pudding soaked up with gravy, and the meat was juicy and supple. The burger was perfectly flavorful. Unfortunately, the Rohit curry vegan pie that I had been longing to try was not available. Excellent assortment of tap beers.Lovely place with great live music on a Sunday afternoon. Will return without a doubt.
I had a great time here at Forrester’s. Went on Sunday and wish I had gone on Friday or Saturday for an even livelier experience!!nnFoods were great, wanted to try the vegan pie but it was out so i got the cauliflower salad instead.nRoasted potatoes that came with the chicken schnitzel stole the show!!!! They should make this available as a side!!!!!nBroccoli salad was also nice, a great and fresh dish to cut off the heaviness from the other dishes.nGarlic bread was a bit unorthodox as it felt like a pizza without the sauce bc the cheese was just soo overpowering.nnI liked the watermelon seltzer.nThe bartenders were all quite friendly and very helpful.
A nice pub with a good variety of dishes and drinks.nThe Giant Yorkie is recommended even though the texture of the bread is not the best because it’s quite spongy, it should be more flaky or crusty.
