Story

Flowers of Canterbury was established with an ambition to create visual abundance, the classic elegance, the unusual, the understated, the decadent when designing our flowers. Inspiration is gathered from an endless source of international leaders in our industry and other artistic fields and the beauty of nature and the world around us.

Whether it be a special occasion or no occasion at all, we believe that beauty should be shared and celebrated. Creating arrangements that are thoughtful and personalised, we use a mixture of hand-selected and sometimes foraged materials that cater to the individual tastes of each of our clients.

We offer conceptual design services for weddings, events, private parties, bereavement tributes, foyer/officeinstallations, residential home services.

I have been shopping here for years. We now live in Sydney, but with much family in Balwyn and Surry Hills we have purchased flowers from this florist often, both in store when we're in town visiting and via the phone for occasions. I also follow Flowers of Canterbury on Instagram and see post after post of stunning arrangements - so I believed my orders via the phone would be of a similar calibre. Unfortunately, after seeing a very disappointing photo of a recent order to a family member (no where near the standard I expected for the money paid, and quite embarrassing) I emailed the address on the website to query the delivery and ask why the bouquet had been so basic and scrappy. After not receiving a reply, I emailed again to ensure that the original email had been received. Still no reply. I then private messaged on Instagram, no response. So finally I commented on a recent Instagram post to ask if I might please have a reply to my email. Still nothing. (I note that other comments have been replied to, but not mine) The arrangement was not worth the money, and certainly not of a high standard, I was embarrassed to have sent it. And the lack of communication and reply from this store has been appalling. I will sadly be taking my business elsewhere.

Very helpful and professional staff, Im in Perth WA and my daughter had the opening of her clinic in Melbourne. I rang up in the morning and the arrangement was delivered that day. I wanted something that would be remembered and my daughter was absolutely delighted with the arrangement in soft pastel colours as well as the size and the keepsake ceramic vase. Well done peeps. Definitely will use your services again

Thank you for my beautiful flowers, they look amazing. I have a big bunch in my entrance, welcoming everyone and another big bunch in the family to brighten my daily work space. x
