My partner and I were very impressed with Isabelle. She’s fantastic! We previously went to a different Flight Centre but didn’t find the travel agent there helpful at all. Isabelle was efficient, approachable and switched on. She gave us helpful and practical advice and the process was hassle free. My friend and I are in absolute disbelief at the shockingly rude "customer service" we received from NATHAN at Flight Centre Eastland. He basically refused to serve us because we booked some parts of our large 3-county holiday ourselves, stating he can only help if we book the entire trip with them especially hotels and flights. We confirmed that we still had to book an international flight, accommodation in one country, all hotel transfers and tours and so he reluctantly agreed. He looked up the international flight we were interested in and quoted us over $200 more per person for the same flight we saw online on Webjet & the airline website directly. When we raised this with him he basically told us if we weren't happy then we could leave. He had his arms crossed and a smirk on his face pretty much telling us to get out. His entire attitude and demeanor towards us was unbelievably rude, condescending and completely unprofessional. A relative of mine worked at Flight Centre up until Covid hit and she advised some centres can but will not help if not booking all hotels and flights with them because they receive "less money". As a business I somewhat understand, however we were still wanting to book an entire country's worth of accommodation and international flight plus more and apparently this still wasn't enough, but what's most disappointing above all else is the completely rude attitude towards us. All I can say is that Flight Centre is nothing but a money-hungry unprofessional business and even scams their clients with pricing. What was meant to be an exciting experience we left feeling so disappointed and deflated. Absolutely never again are we ever walking into a Flight Centre.
My partner and I had Claire help us with our travel plans. She was extremely friendly and accomodating to our wants and needs. She was able to stay within our budget whilst getting us great deals. Super pleased with her service
Don’t bother to book with Flight Centre; just go straight to the airlines. There is absolutely no benefit in using a travel agent anymore. My daughter booked a $2000 trip to Europe in 2020 which she couldn’t use due to Covid border restrictions. Despite a kilometre long email trail of stalling and broken promises, in the end they refused to refund her. They only offered a credit. When the borders opened and she tried to use her credit for flights to the US she was refused because she was told it was a different airline. Never mind that she booked with Flight Centre NOT the airline!! Companies like Flight Centre took millions of dollars in PUBLIC money from Jobkeeper and are still sitting on who knows how many millions of customer’s funds. It’s a total rip off.
Hi Flight Centre, I would firstly like to say how appauled and disappointed i am from the service i received on Saturday 27/08 . I was not aware that i required appointment to make any bookings. When i got to Flight Centre Eastland i was told to make an appointment by a blonde girl for following week. She also told me that i can call Flight Centre and they can process my voucher over the phone with whatever booking i wanted to make. Let me make it clear i was outside of the flight Centre Eastland and at that present moment there were 3 Flight Centre represntatives one was a guy who was taking booking with a couple who were in the store, second was the blonde girl and third was a brunette girl who wore glasses and was on the phone answering calls. So upon being told to call i decided to call Eastland Flight centre while standing from outside there store. The brunette girl with glasses answered the phone and i asked her whether she can process my voucher as i would like to make a booking. She rudely said to me she does not have time to process my voucher as she does not have the time to help me since she is very busy. I was taken back from the way she spoke to me and i responded to her saying you dont need to be rude as you can say the same thing nicely, as soon as i said this she hung up the phone on me. is this the type of customer service Flight centre Eastland is providing? PLEASE do not tell me that your staff are busy and doing there best. reality is every business is under the pump and busy but it gives no one the rightsto be rude . So please do not sugar coat this unacceptable customer service from your staff.
Went to Eastland to book a flight with all the details and they could not help me for 3 days. They literally refused to put a sale through. Why would they even bother to exist. Lazy and incompetent staff deserve to be swallowed up by the internet.
Nothing on the website to say you have to make an appointment, but not taking walk-ins. Consultants chatting to reach other, but too busy to see a customer. It must be nice to be so busy you don't need new business!!!
Was rather disappointed today when we dropped by to book a holiday only to be greeted by a closed gate at the entrance. None of the 3 staff bothered to come up and talk to us but instead yelled from their desks telling us they were booked out till the end of the week and rather than offering to take a booking they suggested we go to another site where they accept walk ins. Not my idea of service, so we booked our holiday elsewhere
Went in for a non standard query different classes/in and out of different airports just on flights. If it was just a return flight into and out of the same airport, I would use google flights or Skyscanner which I’m likely to do after this experience. No one was in the store, and yes I walked in randomly. The consultant tapped away for 5-10 minutes, as nothing immediately fitted my requirements, and in the end they wanted me to make an appointment for a future date. Presumably so they could do some preparation. Given I said it would be around a week before I would commit to the booking initially they didn’t seem interested. I thought they could hold flights for a booking for a few days? I did say it’s hard to commit then and there without a price. The consultant didn’t enquire too much into the specifics initially - it was a bizarre interaction with a travel agent. There were 3 or 4 other consultants there, probably working on queries, but talking amongst themselves and all with masks off! I’d expect more compliance when you have a potential customer in the store. The consultant I was speaking to had a mask on at least. I expect the sale, if they were interested, was about $10k. Whilst I know it’s only a small commission on it to Flight Centre, I would rather deal with a representative that’s interested in generating business. I expected better given how decimated the industry has been and given there was no one in store. The end point was an invite for me to contact the consultant for a future appointment! No offer to follow me up, which worked out well given my poor experience. If they had committed 20 or 30 mins to me then maybe I would’ve booked. I definitely won’t use this particular flight centre after this experience.
I have been visiting Flight Centre Eastland for a number of years now and I have always been very happy with the overall service, trip planning, booking process and the outcome of the holiday itself. Laura has planned many holidays for our family and her accommodation recommendations, activity suggestions and advice about the destination itself, have been invaluable. I enjoy chatting with Laura about future holidays and travel in general, in fact the whole team are enthusiastic and always welcoming. I thoroughly recommend Flight Centre Eastland for all travel needs.
