Dr Graham Barrett is SUPER rude and unhelpful. He practically verbally abused me and told me to get out of his office when I simply asked him to renew my mental health plan - I was in a good mood before walking into his office. Have never seen a doctor like this in my life and will not be returning, encourage anyone in Melbourne to avoid him! Judging by the amount of negative reviews naming him out as a terrible doctor I am surprise he is still practicing. Doctors like this should not be practicing and need to be reported for being so arrogant and rude. I went to Neighbourhood Clinic the following day and had the most incredible experience - my issue was resolved in minutes. This place is seriously not worth your time or money! Visit Neighbourhood Clinic literally across the road, slightly more expensive but you get what you pay for!!
Very disappointed with the service that I got from Dr Graham Barrett when I presented for a mental health care plan. He had very little etiquette, was not helpful in providing any support. He did not seem engaged in the role or willing to provide any help or solutions. He also had dribble coming from his mouth, I’m not sure if this was a condition but he did not have a mask on either.
Saw Dr Sarah Sun for mole mapping- very thorough and efficient and did same day biopsies. Would certainly recommend.
Have seen two doctors Barrett and Rathnayake here on a few occasions and they both were pretty awful. Uncaring and dispassionate, I left feeling upset, misunderstood and alone. Dr Barrett in particular, in the middle of coronavirus became surly and dismissive with me when I asked him to wash his hands before touching me. This was after I had watched him repeatedly rub his nose whilst not wearing his mask properly. He then decided not to assess me and told me to get blood tests. He dismissed me and told me the problem was probably in relation to a chronic pre-existing condition that I have, which induced profound anxiety. I cried when I left, and soon thereafter another doctor told me I had carpal tunnel….. so I would recommend never seeing this doctor. Actually it’s disturbing that he is allowed to practise at all, being grossly negligent.
As a doctor myself I was shocked when I had a 5 minute phone consult with Dr Barrett where I only needed a medical certificate after contracting COVID at the hospital. Dr Barrett shocked me by saying "the vaccines don't do a thing" and then he charged me $70 for the 5 minute phone consult even though he said "I don't need to give you any advice as you're a doctor". That being said Dr Lucinda Hogan who I have previously seen has been excellent. Dr Barrett is of high concern in his medical practices looking at the comments.
I was turned away from dr barrett when i presented with pain from an iud placed at this clinic. Dr. Barrett told me he’s never dealt with an iud and told me to find a new practice even when i told him i can’t carry on like this and really need some relief. Reproductive health seems like something all doctors should know how to manage, considering half of the population deals with it. I feel very upset by this and wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone. I felt like I wasn’t a convenient patient and he just didn’t want to have to deal with me. Ive never left a bad review in my life but this was unreasonable and I believe people should be warned that this doctor seems completely incompetent. My partner also saw him a few months back for a small lump on their neck. A different doctor told my partner that it would be a simple removal if it didn’t resolve itself after a month. My partner returned to have it removed and saw Dr. Barrett. Dr Barrett told my partner that he “didn’t know how he would manage it” and that he couldn’t remove it after Dr, Ali had said it would be a simple removal and would take 5 minutes Seems to me like Dr. Barrett is lazy and can’t be bothered to treat patients when it requires a little bit of work.
Shocking communication and confusing booking systems. I booked an appointment for a very simple and common procedure on the phone. Had to wait 2 weeks and then was told the day before at 4:50pm by the doctor that’s he had to cancel on me. I rang back but the clinic was closed. I booked a subsequent appointment and had to wait another 10 days or so, saw Dr Monica who immediately told me she could not help me with my procedure and wouldn’t even give me the prescription I needed. Went back to reception and booked me for another appointment with a different doctor and had to wait another week to get the prescription and the week after that for the procedure. Called to arrange an alternative time for the appointment only to be informed the only doctor able to see me was going on leave. I will not be returning. If you ever needed a clinic for your women’s health or let alone mental health after the turbulence of trying to organise appointments I suggest you give this clinic a pass.
Started going to this GP due to moving & it being close by. I'm extremely impressed and certain I will stay. Have seen a few doctors, all of whom have been great. Special mention to Dr Ali. He is fantastic - caring, knowledgeable and personable. Reception staff are also friendly. 5 stars!
The doctors here are amazing and most of the reception staff are great too, empathetic, understanding and kind. but every now and then I have to deal with the most unpleasant, rude and blunt receptionist. I actually dread calling them incase i have to speak to the nasty one. Hire better reception staff or provide empathy training or something because dealing with a receptionist shouldn’t be such an unpleasant experience.
This was the closest bulk billed clinic near my house. I was not satisfied with my initial appointment here, especially when I asked a referral to a gynaecologist. The referral got rejected as the information given to the specialist was not clear. I had to do referral again. I booked a double appointment with Dr Graham . I had a very long appointment with him.He had given me a referral for a gynec specialist and renewal of my mental health care plan. Also He adjusted my bp medication, my readings have been normal since then. He was really patient and explained me about my medication. I was so happy after the appointment. I think I can say I finally found a good GP near my house.
