Wow! What a fantastic experience! Seriously massive serves of food, staff with a friendly smile and quick service. A great local fish n chip joint. The potato scallops are MASSIVE!
I was so dissapointed in the quality of my whole order. The serving size was good and chips were nice. But, The fish was overcooked to the point of having burnt edges, this caused the fish to be really dry and tasteless. The potato scallop was very overcooked also and dark brown in colour rather than golden. The desert would have been quite nice except the shell was so soggy it actually fell apart and landed on the floor when it was picked up. I took photos but am not able to upload them here.
Mothers day, $61 wasted, chips undersalted , potato cakes burnt and the works burger was thrown together and burnt, bun was ripped apart Macdonald's would have been better and I hate the golden archers. Most of your fish was out of stock, your fish display was pretty much empty Are you under new management? Your product use to be really good. 1 heating device for outside I won't be back

My latest experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and that's before I ate. I ordered a half fish basket and my first issue, refusal to substitute the fish for a different species. Even though I said I'll pay extra for a better fillet, the server informed me the maths was too hard. So I ordered an extra piece of fish snapper battered at around $17. So in total my order came to $45. Oh and I had to pay extra for tartare. Sauce should be complimentary. When I opened the fisherman's basket it was mainly unsalted chips with one piece of crumbed fish, one crumbed prawn, one seafood stick, one crumbed scallop and one crumbed unidentified type of meat. Oh and two wedges of lemon. Not a grain of salt in sight. This meal was not worth the $29 I paid. The food was ordinary and almost cold. I've ordered from here in the past and been satisfied with the quality, but this time the ship has sailed. When questioned about the portion size and a possible refund, the person on the phone flat out refused. Not in the ACCC guidelines. Will not return. I hope this will be taken onboard.
The meals are fantastic, and worth the price. We are a family of four and we ordered the Family Pack + and extra serving of calamari...oops, WAY to much food for us... we are extremely satisfied and had to roll off the sofa. I ordered via phone and the staff were very friendly and compatible. There were no issues of us having crumbed fish changed to batter and the meal was ready quite quickly. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
Pros: Food quality isn’t bad and overall isn't as greasy as some places. Cons: Crazy long wait >35 mins for an extremely expensive meal, comparative to other fish and chip shops. I think they may not have chicken salt? For the second time I’ve not received chicken salt on my order after asking this time I specified extra chicken salt. All in all it’s not a horrible experience but I did leave feeling a bit robbed of time and money. If you’re happy with paying a bit more and order ahead then it probably won’t cause you any grief. The chicken salt thing is pretty odd for a fish and chip shop though.
bit dearer than my usual fishnchip shop, but possibly the best fishnchips i've ever had. Great customer service, i ordered 10 minutes before their closing time, they still cooked my order and waited till i picked up. will be back.
Was very average overall and the seafood had no taste. We ordered the fishers basket and an extra Serve of calamari which definitely wasn’t needed, it is huge in size and very tough and chewy to eat. Not somewhere I’d return to to order fish and chips again. Only positive is that it would be very good value for money with the size of everything, just a shame the seafood was tasteless.
Best sea food in Brisbane, love the cafe setting, and candles at night on tables, very pretty and the only fish and chips I’ve eaten that don’t give me an upset stomach from the oil so whatever you doing, keep it up! Staff are lovely and remember me when I come in which is always nice
