Wow where do i start with Umina Fire & Rescue, was driving past the station and saw the truck backing in and my son loves i mean loves fire trucks. Crew were super friendly with both me and my son. They even made me a coffee and gave my son a soft drink. Took us all around the truck and even got the water coming out, took me around the station for a look. The look on my sons face is one to not be forgotten, it really made his day and still talks about it. Big thanks to firefighters for been super friendly and making my sons day.

What a great bunch of professional firefighters! As for the two whinging about them using the truck .... you do realise they work a 24 hour shift? All fire stations go out for meals. They could also have just come from a fatality and are having a coffee to unwind. The grass isn't always greener. Thanks to these professionals for protecting our community 24 hours a day.... GUARENTEED!

I have to agree with Tony L. I see the fireman lazing around, eating and carrying on in the car park about 200m up from Ocean Beach (toward Ettalong) all the time. This is a waste of taxpayer money as Tony L stated and seeing a fire truck worth nearly $1million used in this way is a DISGRACE.

Must be the only fire station in NSW that still uses the fire truck for the breakfast, lunch and dinner run. The truck is always in Umina shops, at Ocean Beach car park or just cruising whilst the guys eat. A complete waste of tax payer money !
