One of my favourite. Food not only look great but actually taste amazing.Very helpful staff to explain to us the menu. Highly recommended.
Nice setting for a Sunday lunch. The service was very slow - but staff were friendly when did receive service. I had the fish which was very nice but my husband ordered sirloin steak which he has had many times before at other restaurants. Do not order the sirloin steak at this restaurant as it was full of fat and gristle throughout, it was mostly inedible. We mentioned this to our waiter at the end of the meal and again to the receptionist as we were paying our bill. The response from the chef was surprising, we were told sirloin steak is very fatty and if you don't want fatty steak with gristle order something else with no apology offered. perhaps the chef could have prepared the steak and cut away the fat gristle before cooking to prevent the customer having an unpleasant chewy experience. We had already paid the bill and was offering some constructive feedback but clearly the chef took this as negative feedback and customer satisfaction is not high priority. I would have given a higher star rating for my fish but we left the restaurant with a 'bad taste in our mouths' pardon the pun! Due to the rudeness of the chef.
Food was superb.. But their service was a bit slow
Have just experienced lunch at this restaurant for the first time and must say the food and service was lovely. Great way to spend a Friday afternoon, had the Duck as a main - very nice, crepes for desert - fantastic. French wine was recommended by our waitress and did not disappoint. Thankyou very much, will definitely see us again.
Beautiful semi-casual place and atmosphere for a lovely Sunday afternoon. Great Views of the winery. Really good lunch - We had the chorizo, lobster main and rib eye. The mains did take some time to come out and the rib eye was undercooked however, the customer service was fantastic especially from the Manager. He addressed our complaints very professionally by rectifying the situation. We're very impressed. Thank you very very much for making us feel like a valued customer.
First visit, found the menu and the portion sizes absolutely exceeding our expectations. Staff are professional and knowledgeable. Quality Chef preparing all meals. We chose the 4 course Fillaudeau's set menu. Definitely be returning.
Went there for dinner and it was wonderful. Fabulous French cuisine, great service and nice atmosphere. You didn't feel rushed. The price was very reasonable. We had a lovely evening. Thank you Fillaudeau's.
Really disappointed with the food and service. Took nearly an hour for our starters to arrive and my garlic prawns were so over cooked and not fresh, not worth the wait. They had forgotten our bread and garden salad but we decided we don’t want it anymore. Wanted to cancel my main - Duck Confit but was assured that it was on its way. Waited nearly half hour and by looking at it, I knew it was bad. The skin was soggy and fat not rendered. I tried the meat, was bad and tough to cut. What a waste of time. And then the garden salad arrived albeit a little too late. I had a small bite of the duck and it was so bad I took the plate back to the staff and told them I don’t want it. To which I was advised it is their most popular. For the life of me, I can’t understand now anyone would love a dish that bad, with soggy fatty skin on a duck breast and the meat too tough to cut into! They wouldn’t take the money off the dish, really appalling, what kind of French Restaurant does that?! When I am in Swan Valley next time, I will definitely go back to Black Swan and Little River Winery for their beautifully cooked Confit Duck and excellent service. Never going back to this and definitely not recommended!
We choose Fillaudeaus for my wife's 70th birthday party. The experience was first class. The chef Manu sat down with us before hand and with him we worked out what we would want. He was very helpful and made several good suggestions. Pierre the function manager kept us up to date with the arrangements. On the day it was perfect. The food was beautiful, the service was very attentive but not overdone. The location in the vineyard added to the atmosphere on this special occasion. All our guests remarked how great it was. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great location and ambience. Vineyard was just beside it. Loved their steak.
