Excellent experience at Filicudi. Have lived in the area for years, been meaning to go, and now kicking myself I haven’t been until now. Beautiful food, fresh and delicious. Wonderful service. One of the best pizza bases I’ve had in Sydney and I eat a lot of pizza!. Homely, family style restaurant. Will definitely be coming back!
This restaurant is an absolute institution in Five Dock. The interior is rustic and holds years of history. It’s the type of restaurant you are looking for when you move to a new city - great food, great service - and this is Italian food at its best! We had the Garlic Bread and Garlic Prawns for entree. The bread is the best around and the prawns although a bit on the spicy side from the chilli are super fresh and big! For mains we had the Gnocchi with Beef Ragu, Spaghetti Marinara and the special of Barramundi with veggies. All were cooked to perfection and were really delicious. Judging by the reactions around our table I knew we were on a winner and will definitely be back! So if you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant that caters to everyone, this is the place. Make sure you book though, as dinners tend to book out in advance!!
The food is well done, good quality and delicious. Pizza is made authentic. Helpful staff. I had a great time for my first dinner there. Ordered takeaways food due to covid Several times such a joy. The food is amazing as well as dining. My favourite so far. Love their pizza bread and spaghetti marinara and lasagna are the best!
Really good food. Had the pastas and overall it was quite delicious. The service was decent however it did take a little while for the food to come out. We were a walk in and managed to get a table however I recommend doing a reservation as it was bustling on a Tuesday night. Make sure to check specials menu that are written on blackboards hanging on the walls. Parking is quite easy in the area, just around the corner.
Ordered a variety of pizzas and pastas, they were all very tasty and you could tell they were freshly made! The pizza and the bruschetta were the standout winners for me
We went for a friends birthday last night, and I have got to say the service and food were terrific! Highly recommend dropping for authentic Italian food! The pizza was fresh and delicious - I highly recommend the tartufata! The garlic prawns' sauce was mouthwatering, and it was so tasty that I put it on my pizza! The steak is a must-have. It was so tender and delicious! It just melts in your mouth, and the portion was huge!
Gnocchi Ragu is my favourite, had it twice here, once came for valentines day dinner too and sadly we were too full too finish that meal but the food is always exceptional, my bf absolutely loved the octopus, friendly staff, exceptional service. Love that they check our double vax too. The best atmosphere will come back again xx
If you're looking for a hidden Italian GEM of a restaurant than look no further. The location does not justify the restaurant but that's why I called it a GEM. Excellent Food & Hospitality, a MUST visit & repeat...
Really enjoyed the food, even my kids did, they finished their meals which is not common! Nice small restaurant with a big personality and the decor gave a nice touch. Would recommend to book ahead to avoid disappointment. You need to call to book and make sure it's confirmed. Would be great if they had an online booking system.Food: 4/5
Absolutely amazing food! I had the gamberi pizza takeaway yesterday and it was by far the best one I have ever had! And I have lots of pizza haha! HIGHLY recommend!!
