I have been a member at Fernwood Maroochydore for 10 years this month. And this was a person who never stepped inside a gym before.  I love it, I have options of all sorts of exercise, dance, with teachers or by myself.  I have made friends with so many lovely ladies and me being a clean freak sooooo enjoy the cleanliness of the overall venue. Being the Sunshine Coast Buyers Agent during the past few years of Crazy Busy Work I really needed the gym for me-time to refocus on looking after myself, so I could help others. Nice atmosphere. Price is a bit high. Got ignored by couple of trainers because I have a shoulder insure. My membership has reformer great trainers and FiTT30.

Been with Fernwood for over a month now and I can tell you that this was the best choice I have made this year. It has a very safe and supportive atmosphere and the staff are absolutely excellent! I am grateful for their help in improving my fitness and self esteem. And if you're looking for a personal trainer, I would highly recommend Janelle. She is amazing, intuitive and very kind. Would not have had the motivation to keep this going without her.

I joined Fernwood Maroochydore in February of 2020 and I have never looked back, Fernwood Maroochydore   has become an integral part of my lifestyle and wellness, program, I am hitting my goals, the staff is friendly   you  are always made to   feel welcome.  They have a  really good blend/variety of fitness  classes to choose from.  I  highly recommend if you are looking for a lifestyle change.

I am absolutely thrilled to be part of Fernwood Gym Maroochydore. I have never worked with a team that has so much passion, integrity and loyalty. The atmosphere is contagious and all staff go above and beyond to assist every single member. I feel very grateful to be a part of the ferny girl team

My absolute favourite gym I've ever been too. Great time, friendly club, like-minded members. Club staff are happy and accommodating with membership requests and the like. Definitely recommend.

Love Fernwood Maroochydore. The staff are all very friendly, the club is always clean. The only thing I would change is some of the music. My phone can’t pair with the machines so have to listen to the club music which often sounds like radio which is not very exercise motivating. I try to go when the fit30 is on because the music makes you want to work harder. Tried the Zumba class recently which is heaps of fun and hilarious when you haven’t done group fitness for a long time. Bit hard to do on carpeted floor though. I think for the people who complain about the costs, they really need to remember that not every gym out there has a crèche, has a nice lounge/kitchen area for member use with wifi, free use of massage chairs, and the use of hair straighteners, and other bathroom items that cater for women. I don’t use any of the bathroom items but if it’s inbuilt into the fees and other women benefit greatly from this service then so be it. It’s a place for women to come together and support one another and workout in an environment that specifically caters for us women. For those that want to complain about the fees, read the contract and don’t sign up if you begrudge the extras that make life a little easier for other women. I have been a member of a well known 24/7 gym and as soon as you join, there is absolutely no support. At Fernwood, I’ve had several staff ask me how I’m going and if I need any assistance or PT sessions. I’m happy to plod along with my own program but if you want help redefining a program or exercise I have no hesitation in asking the friendly staff. I first joined a Fernwood back in the 90s and when I moved to the sunny coast recently, I specifically looked up where Fernwood was. I love men, but I don’t want to be working out around them or feel self conscious.

I have been coming to this gym on and off since 2015. Back then the staff were lovely and welcoming and made effort to make conversations with you. I recently joined again late last year and found the staff had changed and werent as nice. I signed up under the impression there was a colour therapy sauna to use. Within a couple of weeks of me signing up the sauna was taken away, no notice given. Over xmas I got behind in payments but I always fix my payments up and recieved a phone call today from Judy stating that my membership had been placed on hold for over 2 weeks. In all the emails and letters I recieved, not one of them states my membership had been placed on hold. Upon notifying Judy of this, and explaining nicely that you really should notify members if their membership is on hold,  the answer I recieved was "yep." Pretty wrong really. Family discounts offered were never given even though me, my mother and 2 sisters were members there. Expensive gym for a gym that doesnt have a sauna or a steam room or anything. Will be going elsewhere once this membership is up after this kind of treatment after referring 3 other members. Also, if you let your customers choose which day the direct debit comes out to suit them, or added a bsb and account number or biller code on your overdue statements, it would make it 100x easier to keep payments up to date.Tara Briggs.

Best atmosphere, heaps on offer,  friendly and fun.  Classes a plenty, great equipment, child minding and massage chairs!
