We spent one night there recently. It's a modest establishment, but our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Probably not the most comfortable mattress I've slept on but no real complaints. Price was reasonable, and it's within a short drive of the wine trail. I've no idea when or even if I'll be in the vicinity again, but would be happy to stay there.
Clean unit, comfy bed, good location, friendly cleaning staff.nPoorly equipped motel kitchen, very unsatisfactory communal kitchen, poor value for money.nConsiderable traffic noise.
Lovely and clean , has heat pump also additional heater cooking utensils beds have electric blankets.nPrivacy rear door with Privacy if you want a sneaky cigarette ,ect.nn$140 a night TV, internet, they even had a twin pack of complimentary cookies milk, plunger coffee, regular coffee .nnWas impressed
We were here a couple of nights at the end of December 2022 and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The communal kitchen is basic but functional.nFrom here, we had easy access to cycle the splendid Remutaka Trail.nThe regular manageress was absent but Paul, the guy who was covering for her, could not have been more helpful and did a great job making us feel welcome.
It was a nice place to stay. I got there out of business hours and, therefore, was not met by a staff member. I was, therefore, not given access to the wifi. I suggest a wee booklet of info is prepared and left in each unit as this would be a great help.
