Flashback to the time I booked this: I originally chose The Panama Dining, but unfortunately, Luke told me they were fully booked, so they suggested their other restaurant, The Feast of Merit. I had the pleasure of speaking to Jason, who has been so accommodating, as well as the restaurant manager, Skye. All communications were initially done by email until we went to dinner. We went on site twice. The first was when we had to try and sit for a tasting menu because I chose this as my intimate wedding reception. We had the banquet menu. Everything was exceptional. Jamie was phenomenal and explained everything about the dish. I was happy I chose it because of the ambiance and the accommodating staff Jamie, who even showed us around the rooftop after we dined. They offered some ideas, like letting me borrow their easel, as well as advice to not overdo the decor because the rooftop is already filled with all the fairy lights and plants. I had an amazing experience. During the reception, we were allowed to take photoshoots outside the location and to just be quick about doing them inside because they don’t want to disturb the customers who are dining. Rooftop upstairs has a different entrance and has a minibar; the toilets are all downstairs no need to go inside the restaurant though. The feasting menu that was chosen for our function was amazing. The entrees were appetising and made you want more; the main courses were the stars of the show; and the desserts were delectable. I was so happy that my guests enjoyed them as much as we did. It rained towards the end of our event, but they have a huge, retractable roof that covers the entire area. I highly recommend Feast of Merit and would like to extend my gratitude to their team, especially Jamie, Skye, Jason, Luke, and Lisa I think? So sorry—I forgot the name of the person who served us during the night aside from Jamie— for making my event successful. It is a perfect venue for something intimate, romantic, and memorable.
Yummy sharing plates with lovely hospitality. Started our meal with some cauliflower which was absolutely delicious. Crispy, salty and everything you could want in a bite. Followed that with a selection of mains - fish alongside some eggplant and again was cooked super well. The waiter was super kind and helped us sort a last minute table. Will definitely be back!
Lovely cafe to have brunch or dinner. Was seated upstairs in the open, which was nice. Friendly staff and good service. Food was delicious.
Sensational coffee, warm ambience, attentive hospitality, complemented by a delicious, well, presented, flavour-packed lunch! A fantastic pre-game pit-stop!
Loved the coffee and chai, loved the food and absolutely enjoyed the vibe.... Feast of Merit is a very well known cafe in the area and anyone who has visited this cafe so far, will only have good things to say.
Absolutely fantastic! Great staff, delicious food and beautiful venue. All I’ve been able to think about since waking up this morning is their fantastic food! I will definitely be back!!
Went there on nye. The best grilled fish I've ever had in Melbourne. Their lamb is also tasty! I love the vibe and service. Will come back.Food: 5/5
Food was pretty good. Service was awful. All the staff were so rude and not one smiled or made any conversation. They all looked so unhappy to be there. My boyfriend and I booked in advance and when we asked if we could sit at the window they said all the tables were reserved even though the restaurant was empty and tables remained empty for the entire time we were there. We were ignored for most of the night whilst they went around to all the other tables and we had to put our hand up every time we wanted to order something. Won’t be back.
You can’t miss this place with the huge colourful mural on the side of the building. Huge open windows and plants hanging from the roof makes it feel cosy yet light and breezy. Food is absolutely beautiful - Great menu - and the Israeli Sandwich was sensational! Coffee is excellent , as is the friendly service. Nice spot to relax.
I am absolutely shocked at the lip on not one but two staff. So rude and completely undeserved as we checked to see if a table was available. “We’re fully booked! Do you think I’m lying to you! Get out of the way!” And literally shoved out the door.
