FCCS is a Credit Union which is mutually owned by its members. As such, we are focused on member-benefit, community involvement, fairer fees and customer service.

Our customers are the Members and Owners of FCCS and therefore we act in your best interest. Unlike banks, profits are returned to Members through our products and services and are not paid away to shareholders.

At FCCS we highly value the needs and opinions of all our members, which is why we truly are Customer Owned Banking.

Have been with this bank since they were FCCS. What disgraceful service no accountability certainly not what it used to be. Cancelled a policy which they dropped the ball with, the company takes my money and they have washed their hands even though they are to blame. I requested to Sharon that I wanted to speak to management she kept me on hold for 15 minutes to come back and tell me the CEO and person in charge of complaints Vivian did not want to speak to me. Pathetic
Dino is great to deal with for a home loan, he's knowledgeable and understanding. Geelong Bank in general are so easy to deal with. You don't get pushed from one department to another wondering who you're going to talk to next. Would recommend
I cannot believe I'm writing a 5 star review for a bank. But Geelong Bank is so phenomenal that I feel compelled to. I actually opened a Geelong Bank account out of necessity, and not choice, at first. Embarrassing admission: I assumed you needed to live in Geelong to open an account with them. You don't. Anyway, I needed to open a SMSF bank account to set up a SMSF, which is a little tricker to do than opening up an ordinary savings or business account. Canstar had glowing recommendations for Geelong Bank. Also, most other banks had unappealing options and impossible requirements to set up accounts. So I thought I'd give Geelong Bank a try. But after setting up my account and having settled in, I am so impressed with Geelong Bank that I'm now looking to open up personal accounts with them too. Why is Geelong Bank so great? Every single team member has been beyond helpful, available and receptive. Every. Single. One. Thank you Sharon and Jo. Sorry for missing everyone else, because everyone has been wonderful in their own right. I have never once had to deal with an AI teleprompt or to jump through hoops to speak to someone. I have never once waited on hold. This alone is huge - I know people who wait HOURS on the phone to speak to their banks, only to get transferred around to other departments, or worse, cut off after waiting on hold. That's all normal at other banks. You can contact them by email or phone. They will listen intelligently and respond intelligently back. So if you send an email, they can send an email back with an unqualified and straightforward answer. They will also actually try to understand why you reach out or ask a question and address the root issue, rather than blindly following prompts like "out policy says this" or "I'll just have to transfer you to another department". That might seem basic and simple, but from experience I've never known any other bank in Australia or overseas to offer this level of intelligence in their B2C communications, which is as much a credit to management as it is to their team members. Every process is done incredibly fast and always without error. You want to open an account: done in 24 hours. You want to change account limits: done with a call in 20 minutes. The people are genuinely lovely to deal with. With other banks, the experiences can be hit and miss. If you have a dedicated account manager then you may be ok, but otherwise dealing with banks can be as painful as having a root canal. Geelong Bank has been the complete opposite. It just feels great to deal with the wonderful people at Geelong Bank. Again, that's something I honestly never thought I'd say about a bank. But I'm converted - Geelong Bank is truly not like the others. Just give it a try it and thank me later.
Dino, Jess and the staff at Geelong Bank are so friendly and helpful. Dino worked hard to get our loan approved and continued to work hard to make sure our settlement happened on time, and was always available when we had questions. We are happy to be banking with Geelong Bank.
Have banked with Geelong Bank for a long time now and have bought a few properties with their assistance. Always a pleasure and always accommodating. Loan consultant wanting the best for myself and my family. Customer service is always spot on. Small bank that gives you that one on one attention that you need when it comes to your money. And a shout out to Dino - good work!!
We have been with Geelong bank for 6 years. Geelong Bank promised us to lower the interest rate in January by 0.4% when trying to sell us a second home loan and then nothing happened for 4 month. When I followed up the response was: “One step after the other” referring to our second home loan. Do yourself a favour and get quotes from other banks. Geelong Bank homeloan rates are clearly not competitive and when you tell them, they just reply they don’t compete with the big banks. We now refinanced both homeloans 0.9% cheaper. We will never go back!
I would like to write a review for the Geelong Bank Staff and in particular Dino Choong, Dino eagerly listened to our needs being home loan and Geelong Bank investors, his pragmatic style resulted in a wonderful constructive outcome in us achieving our home here in Geelong. His passionate approach built a foundation that we found had good analytical skills, high level of aspiration, went to the heart of the matter, and results orientated leader. Dino also explored options and alternatives that we had failed to review, and was honest and direct with his feelings allowing us to share the responsibilities as a team. Myself and my partner wish to convey to Dino and the Geelong Banking our gratitude and especially our thanks. Five Stars Achievement for the Geelong Bank and Staffing.
Came into the bank this afternoon to re open my account. Yes I was aware it had been left unattended for a while as only used during footy season & would be over drawing. I asked for it to be opened again today & had money to be put into it. Both ladies working at no stage showed no interest. I'll happily take my money to another bank savings account. Obviously Geelong bank really not interested in little people.....
Great on the surface but severely lacking in integrity
Cannot recommend them highly enough - quite the opposite of a normal bank! Rates & charges are good but the service is quite remarkable. I've kept my SMSF cash with them for many years now & can't imagine moving.
