Fat Angel

I tagged along with a friend to watch her sing, and was blown away by the Fat Angel's food, their house wine, staff friendliness and ambience. Definitely tagging along again in the future!

Absolutely good restaurant. Pizza is so tasty, chips inside soft and husk crispy. I will definitely recomm my friend to eat here. Thanks for their patient workers, me and friend haven't seen each other for a while and we are too happy to forget the time. Apologize to take your rest time. And many thanks again.

Fat angel has an extensive menu when it comes to pizza and pasta, theres also happy hour between 5 and 7 pm. The menu includes vegetarian options for the pizza; I recommend the pendolino if you feel like pizza but only want a light meal. This place is also a live music venue which features local artists. The prices are good and the food is consistently good too! If you're from out of town fat angel is easily accessible by public transport

Quiet, cozy place. Staff was very attentive. We got the terra mare pasta which was lacking some flavor , didn’t like it as much . However, we also ordered a pizza half prosciutto half siciliano and it was really good. Prices were also very decent. They also have happy hour from 5 to 7 everyday.

Went on Saturday, it was quiet but suited me and my company. The decor in this place was a nice change to most restaurants in the city - brick and dark timber furnishings, with the right light setting to accompany the interior. We ordered a greek salad, a large Pepperoni and a Heineken. The salad came out quick and it was outstanding - full of flavour, the tomatos and olives juicy, the cucumber and leafy green had a decent crunch, the fetta was tasty and the dressing lemon/oilive oil/vinegar had a beautiful zest to it with the right amount of oregano. The pizza came out as soon as we were done with the salad, piping hot, loaded with pepperoni and with a sweet pizza sauce. Wash it down with the Heineken to top it all off. Well priced, comfortable, professionally staffed and an owner on site to greet you with a smile. Oh and not to forget the 00's boy/girl band music, which in any other setting would have been cheezy as - but in this instance it topped it all off. 6 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Absolutely painful takeaway experience at a near-empty restaurant. Two surly-faced staff simply stared at each other in some sort of "not my turn" standoff while I waited at the register to order. The staff member who finally took my order then struggled to operate the EFTPoS machine. To top things off, when the single pizza finally arrived it was not what I ordered. This triggered a passive aggressive discussion between two staff - right in front of me - as to who was at fault. At least I now know why the place is so quiet. Whatever happened to the old Lorentto Pizzeria?!

We were honestly an atrocious group and i couldnt be more embaressed however fat angel was understanding. Fat angel was understanding through thick and thin. Thank you for the fantastic night!!

It was perfect place for having dinner and drinking. Lovely pasta, pizza and salad.

looking for PASTA and PIZZA with Great service from an affordable italian restaurant in Surry Hills / Redfern.......look no further. I've had their pizzas and tonight I had the spaghetti bolognese which was extremely tasty, fast and came with a complimentary garlic bread. BANG ! $15 well spend.....RESPECT will defiantly be ordering from here again soon. Thank you chef... CC
