Quirky conceptualising. I’d describe EXP as upmarket hipster. Loved the food experience and service. Looking forward to visiting again on returning to the Hunter Valley.

We chose to sat at the chef's bar right near all the action. We highly recommend it We witnessed the chef's incredible management of the kitchen, and very calm but specific communication style. (Being a manager of a large team and passionate about process, I really enjoyed watching the chef and his team work) Now onto the food and the EXPerience! Every aspect of the menu incorporates native ingredients and flavours which I found incredibly interesting - who would have thought emu pastrami could he so tasty! The matched wines were perfectly chosen and a great compliment to each course. The service was impressive. The waiters were just as interested in delivering the best quality as possible, with attention to the smallest details - from how warm the sourdough bread was to whether two vegemite marshmallows on a plate were the same size before serving them! Highly recommend this restaurant. It was a great way to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary.

The eggplant dish and leftover sourdough ice cream and beer cake were two of the most amazing dishes Ive ever had. Beautiful service. Bravo all! Looking forward to next time.

A great experience. Very accommodating when one of us didn’t eat meat. We had seats at the chefs bar which was very cool. We loved that the chef took the time to explain each course to us.

Amazing food. Great service. Food could do with a touch of extra salt. One of the best food experiances. Value also not bad considering..
