Am a visitor to New Plymouth. Went to see the new Avatar movie in 3D was really good. Had great friendly service, answered my questions plus the seats were large, comfortable and plenty leg room
Cinema was clean, seats were good. Price was extremely steep. Having come from Auckland where the cinemas are half the price. Staff were pretty rude. Wouldn't put it on my to do list again. Plenty of other things to do.
Overall it was good. The theatre itself was not too big and the seats were wide, comfortable and had plenty of room for food and drinks. The entrance to to complex was not very inviting on Friday evening because it looked deserted and the escalators were temporarily stairs. Other reviews I've read say the escalators have been stairs for weeks, it would be nice to see them working again. The usual high ticket prices and expensive bad for you food that makes going to the cinema a not so regular thing.
Cannot fault the facilities great sound effects comfortable seating very spacious legroom .very helpful staff thank you for a great time

I havnt been to the movies in a few years, the new big comfy seats are great. Top Gun was definitely better on the big screen! Snack bar is as pricey as ever.
Worst experience, seems the heating was on overdrive. Movie hadn't started, informed the usher . No luck , it was an absolutely sweltering experience. Tried ringing them today to advise them of cinema number 7s connections to the fires of hell but after 5 attempts I've given up. Hellish night !!

Great experience for the kids. Hadn't been in years, impressed with the new seating, comfy as. Shocked at the prices tho. The snack for two pop corns and 3 drinks $30.50. Plus $83 for 1 adult and 3 under 12. Ticket prices I understood but come on guys the snacks are outrageous. And it's part if the movie experience so of course I brought.
Well well well, be sure to check out the cinema screen layout before you book. The one cinema with the sofas for chairs is absolutely fantastic as the seating can't get any better than that. Good infrastructure for the size of the city it caters to.
