Espresso Cove

Staying next door so decided to have breakfast there this morning. What a lovely place, staff were very friendly & attentive. We had 1 big breakfast & 1 classic hash stack. Came out quickly, delicious, coffees were great, nice & hot. A lovely lady checked how everything was which I appreciate they do. Will definitely go back one day. We're from New Plymouth

Beautiful cafe by the lake. The salmon rosti was absolutely delicious. The staff is nice and the vibe is chilled. Also we got the food and the drinks quite quick. There is an outdoor sitting area but everywhere on the cafe you can enjoy the beautiful lake views.Food: 5/5

Where do I start? Rude service: asked the lady at service counter to add ham to the cheese and onion toastie, or just to make me a ham onion and cheese toastie, to which she rolled her eyes and sighed…. I was shocked and couldn’t speak, she went out back and came back then said FINE YEP… not sure what’s going on there Team? The finished product, couple of weird pieces of toast with blobs of weird goo and strange unappealing white sauce … how hard is it to make a toastie? Gross.

YUMMY!!! My family and I dine out often, all over NZ, and this wee water front Cafe of the BEST place we have dined at!!! Coffee was beautiful, and our breakfast meals were delicious. Such lovely staff too. Thankyou team, for a fabulous dining experience. We will be back with the whole family!

We heard a friendly "Good Morning" as we entered the restaurant. Our taste buds were immediately greeted by a delightful combination of "pick me" smells. The view of the lake was a calming hand on my soul. The choosen breakfast was both easy eat and the taste lingers long in my memory. But... That coffee.... Short black. Temperature, flavour and volume in the right proportion create that perfect cup. This morning I had that prefect cup. I sipped, closed my eyes, I could have been anywhere in that moment, memories past and future rushed by. Thank you for that most wonderful breakfast.

Eggs any way on toast with spinach and tomato plus your choice of bacon, salmon etc a no brainier! Great place in or outdoors right on the water! …. And if just having a drink they have the best cheese scones I’ve had anywhere!

Great food, good ambience and friendly staff with reasonable prices

A relaxing experience with lake views. The flat white coffee and cheese scones are the best in town. My favorite local go too.Food: 5/5
