We are a party of 5 and had not booked in advance, they were able to accommodate us fairly quickly. Food was lovely and a good variety of meat and vegetables. The shining star was the waiter, James. He was friendly, helpful and respectful. I really liked his attitude. A great asset to the company. Thank you James. Parking: Easy and accessible.

We were seated quickly by our lovely server. So sorry I forgot her name but the lady was so sweet. The food was fresh and absolutely lush. We didn't have to queue for the carvery either and enjoyed some fantastic deserts after. Thank you for having us. We will be back for sure!Food: 5/5

I wanted to share the great customer service we received today at this branch. We had a table booked for 7 people and unfortunately due to covid related circumstances that was reduced to only 3. I wanted to thank the manager for being understanding and accommodating of our circumstances and our waitress for being attentive throughout our meal. Thank you for hosting us and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I booked the festive 3 courses for 4 of us. 1 lady was with a mobility walker. We were put in a small corner, which wasn’t great. There was nothing festive about the table. We ordered starters which was great, had the carvery which was also great. Then for dessert, all excited to have the brownie, ti he told they didn’t have it. It would have been nice to be told upon arrival that it wasn’t on the menu. After starters, we had to ask for more cutlery instead of it being given to us. It wasn’t a bad experience but wasn’t the best either. Parking: Plenty of parking for all

Our server Mollie was very polite and accommodating. She was very professional and lovely! Great service from her! Our carver Ash was just as lovely! There was a very rude customer in front of us and he handled him very politely and with grace. He then was happy and cheery speaking to us. Lovely lunch!!

Me and my work colleagues come here every couple of months or so for a group carvery together, they have never disappointed. Always good food, always good service. We do book for Sunday night, not sure whether it is necessary or not, but we do because sometimes there's quite a few of us. We are always a hassle and it doesn't stir the staff at all. We have dietary requirements, people who want menu products without certain items or with something different, never an issue. Good atmosphere on a Sunday too. It's easy enough to split the bill per what people have ordered whether you want to pay card or cash and we always leave a tip because of the ease of service from them. Amazing!!!

First time at a Toby's. Enjoyed the food, well cooked, plenty of choice, good size portions. It was busier than I was expecting, but still got a table even though we hadn't booked. Our waitress, "Lana", was very good, friendly and efficient. Overall, good value, £15 per plate inc drinks, will likely go back when in the area.

Visited for a carvery as my mum had never been. Was greeted by Vicky in Hilsea branch. She took us to a lovely table by the window. Made sure we enjoyed our food and drinks.. good service from Vicky. Food was absolutely delicious. Pudding too. Thank you for making my mums first carvery experience.

We booked as it was going to be busy with a 50% off Mains promotion. So it proved. However we were shown straight to our table. The roast pork was good and there were plenty of fresh vegetables. We were happy with the meals. My wife had the apple and plum crumble for pudding. It was too sweet and the crumble resembled dried breadcrumbs rather than a crumbly pastry. Not good. Gents toilets still had that old sewer smell which has been a regular "feature " for months. So book. Enjoy the pork. Skip the crumble!

A good mixture of dining and bar service, with ample seating allows for a good time. Although over the years the amount of meat you get from the cuts appears to be smaller, the overall quality for the price is excellent. Unlimited soft drinks means its also a good spot to sit and have a drink if you aren't into alcohol or coffee. Vegetarian options: Improved options in both mains and deserts. Kid-friendliness: Helpful and friendly staff. Parking: Free parking on site. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible seating and toilets available. Access to the carvery is a little tight if you are a wheelchair user. Dietary restrictions: Understanding to dietary needs.
